OPPO unveils Find N5: The world’s thinnest foldable phone with cutting-edge AI and battery life

OPPO launches Find N5, the world's thinnest foldable phone, featuring advanced AI, the largest inner screen, industry-best battery life, and powerful cameras.

OPPO has officially launched the Find N5, its latest flagship foldable smartphone, making it available worldwide. Designed to deliver an exceptional user experience, the Find N5 features an ultra-thin and lightweight design, the largest inner screen of any book-style foldable, industry-leading battery life, and AI-powered performance.

Pete Lau, Senior Vice President and Chief Product Officer at OPPO, shared his excitement about the launch, stating, “Find N5 unlocks the potential of folding phones, putting tablet and laptop experiences in our hands. It’s impossibly thin and light, and ColorOS 15 is precision-tuned to do more across two immersive displays, with AI-powered tools and advanced integration with Macs. Find N5 doesn’t close doors, it opens them, unfolding the potential of all your tech while keeping you connected all day and beyond.”

A sleek and durable design

The Find N5 is the world’s thinnest book-style foldable when closed, measuring just 8.93mm thick and weighing only 229g. Its slim profile makes it as portable as a traditional smartphone while maintaining a premium feel. The phone’s frame is made from 7000-series aluminium alloy, providing a 30% increase in strength. Meanwhile, its ultra-durable nanocrystal glass enhances drop resistance by up to 20%.

The device is available in two striking colour options: Cosmic Black, featuring a matte black metal frame with a frosted finish, and Misty White, which shimmers under the light with a silver frame. Adding to its durability, the Find N5 is the first foldable phone to receive an IPX9 rating, making it resistant to high-pressure water jets, in addition to its IPX8 water resistance.

OPPO has also introduced the Titanium Flexion Hinge, which is 26% smaller and 36% more rigid than its predecessor. Made from Grade 5 titanium alloy and Ultra-High Strength Steel (UHSS), the hinge ensures longevity even with continuous folding and unfolding. The phone has also been TÜV Rheinland-certified for reliable folding, ensuring it can withstand extreme environments.

Large immersive displays

Find N5 features an 8.12-inch inner screen, making it the largest display on any book-style foldable phone. The 6.62-inch cover display offers a 20.7:9 aspect ratio, making it comfortable and familiar for everyday use. The device maintains a minimal crease, certified by TÜV Rheinland for its reduced visibility.

The screen comprises nine layers, including a 0.1mm stainless steel support plate and ultra-thin glass, boosting impact resistance by 70%. With a peak brightness of over 2000 nits and a 1-120Hz refresh rate, the Find N5 provides an excellent viewing experience. It also supports OPPO Pen input across both screens for enhanced creativity and productivity.

Industry-leading battery life and fast charging

Find N5 sets a new standard for foldable phones with its 5600mAh Silicon-Carbon Battery, delivering the best battery life in its category. The battery’s advanced composition, featuring 10% silicon, allows for an ultra-slim 2.1mm cell while maintaining high capacity.

A dedicated security chip provides hardware-level protection for on-device confidential data.

Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the Hasselblad Master Camera System, which includes an ultra-wide lens, a wide primary camera, a 2x lossless zoom, and a powerful periscope camera. The 50MP periscope camera offers a 70mm focal length and an f/2.7 aperture, enabling tele-macro photography with a minimum focusing distance of 10cm. Hasselblad Portrait Mode captures natural-looking shots, while Master Mode provides full manual control. Dolby Vision 10-bit video recording supports up to 4K resolution at 60fps for high-quality video capture.
