Samsung Galaxy S24 FE leaks ahead of official release in new unboxing video

The leaked video reveals the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE specs, design, and features ahead of its expected announcement on September 26.

You won’t need to wait much longer for the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE to be officially unveiled. A new unboxing video has surfaced, giving away almost everything you’d want to know about the upcoming device. Though the phone has yet to be announced, this leak offers an in-depth look at its design and key features.

A well-known leaker shared the video @evleaks on X (formerly Twitter). However, unless you follow him, you won’t be able to view the video, as his account is private. Luckily, the clip has already made its rounds online, allowing us to examine Samsung’s next Fan Edition phone closely.

Here’s what the video reveals.

Familiar design with triple-lens camera

The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE in the video resembles previous leaks. It features a sleek design with a triple-lens camera aligned vertically on the back. On the front, you get a flat display with a punch-hole camera positioned at the top, much like Samsung’s other recent phones.

The unboxing itself doesn’t surprise, showing the usual accessories inside the box. You’ll find the phone, a USB-C charging cable, a SIM card removal tool, and a quick start guide. Unfortunately, there is no power adapter, continuing Samsung’s recent trend of excluding it from their packages.

One of the more exciting reveals from the video is the phone’s colour options. You can choose from a variety of shades, including blue, graphite, grey, mint, and yellow, giving the device a fresh and vibrant look.

Impressive camera and AI-powered features

Samsung is keeping things consistent when it comes to the camera system. The video states that the Galaxy S24 FE will have a 50MP main sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide camera, and an 8MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. The front-facing camera is listed as 10MP, all of which are identical to what we saw on the Galaxy S23 FE.

What’s new is the ProVisual Engine, an AI-powered tool that appears to enhance the camera’s capabilities, particularly in low-light situations. According to the video, this will help you capture “stunning low-light portraits,” suggesting an improved photography experience compared to the previous Fan Edition model.

Bigger screen and upgraded battery

The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE is set to come with a larger display than its predecessor. Measuring 17 centimetres, which is roughly 6.69 inches, Samsung will likely round this down to a 6.7-inch screen in their marketing. This marks a noticeable increase from the Galaxy S23 FE’s 6.4-inch display.

As expected, the screen will boast Full HD+ resolution and a peak brightness of 1,900 nits, an upgrade from the 1,450 nits on the S23 FE. That means you’ll enjoy clearer and brighter visuals, even in outdoor settings.

Battery life has also received a boost. The Galaxy S24 FE is said to have a 4,700mAh battery, slightly larger than the 4,500mAh unit in the S23 FE. This should allow up to 28 hours of video playback, making it a great option for media consumption.

Other notable specs include an Exynos 2400e chipset, a slightly lower-powered version of the Exynos 2400 found in some models of the Galaxy S24. The device will also feature an aluminium frame, Gorilla Glass Victus+ on both the front and back, and an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.

As with any leak, it’s always wise to remain cautious. But considering the source and how polished the video looks, it’s likely that this leak is accurate. It lines up with other rumours and leaks surrounding the Galaxy S24 FE, and we expect to get official confirmation soon.

If the leaks are correct, you won’t have to wait much longer. The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE is expected to be announced on September 26.
