Samsung Galaxy S25 FE specifications leaked ahead of official launch

Samsung's Galaxy S25 FE is expected to launch soon, featuring an improved battery, faster charging, and a slightly smaller frame, according to recent leaks.

Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S25 FE smartphone has been leaked, offering an early glimpse at its specifications ahead of an expected announcement next month. The device, which will join the wider Galaxy S25 family, appears to provide incremental upgrades over its predecessor, the Galaxy S24 FE.

Subtle improvements in battery and charging

The Galaxy S25 FE is reported to feature a slightly larger battery, increasing from 4,700mAh to 4,900mAh. While the increase may seem modest, it could provide users with improved endurance throughout the day. More significantly, Samsung is reportedly addressing one of the long-standing user concerns by upgrading the wired charging speed. The device is expected to support 45W fast charging, compared to the 25W limit on the S24 FE.

This change would bring the FE model more in line with Samsung’s flagship standards and provide quicker recharge times, a feature that many users have requested in previous models.

Slightly smaller body, familiar display and camera

In terms of physical dimensions, the Galaxy S25 FE is expected to be slightly more compact than its predecessor. The phone is reportedly measured to be 161.3 x 76.6 x 7.4 mm, a minor reduction from the Galaxy S24 FE’s 162 x 77.3 x 8.0 mm dimensions. These changes may not significantly alter the feel of the device, but they could make it a bit more comfortable to hold and carry in your pocket.

Internally, many of the specifications appear unchanged. The handset is expected to retain its 6.7-inch AMOLED display, featuring a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, which delivers smooth visuals for scrolling and gaming. It will likely ship with 8GB of RAM and maintain the same triple-lens rear camera setup: a 50MP primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture, a 12MP ultra-wide lens at f/2.2, and an 8MP telephoto lens at f/2.4.

Like its predecessor, the Galaxy S25 FE is expected to feature an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance, enabling it to withstand submersion in water and providing enhanced durability for everyday use.

Launch is expected soon, following early confirmation

Samsung previously confirmed during its latest earnings call that the Galaxy S25 FE would arrive earlier than usual this year. While no exact launch date has been officially disclosed, industry observers expect an announcement in the coming weeks.

For reference, the Galaxy S24 FE was made available for pre-order on 27 September last year. Based on this timeline, the Galaxy S25 FE could be unveiled before the end of this month, with pre-orders potentially opening shortly after.

As anticipation builds, fans of the FE series will be eager to see whether the modest yet practical improvements in battery life, charging speed, and design make the Galaxy S25 FE a worthwhile upgrade.
