SHARP has introduced the Purefit Plasmacluster Air Purifier FX-S82E-B/L to Singapore, equipping the appliance with a dedicated Haze Mode to tackle worsening outdoor air quality. The unit draws in higher volumes of air whenever environmental conditions deteriorate, helping households protect indoor living areas against sudden influxes of smoke and particulate matter.
This compact appliance caters to rooms spanning up to 62 m². It integrates dual-sided filtration, comprehensive air-quality sensors and app-based management into a chassis engineered to function directly against a wall.
Dual-sided filtration targets dust and fine particles
Air intake occurs through both flanks of the unit, with each side featuring three specialised filtration layers that work in tandem. SHARP explains that this dual-sided approach encourages smooth airflow at lower fan speeds, keeping air turbulence low for peaceful operation during work, rest or sleep. Incoming air first passes through a washable pre-filter designed to catch coarse debris such as pet hair, followed by an activated carbon deodorising filter that neutralises volatile organic compounds, tobacco smoke, pet scents and other lingering domestic odours. Deeper inside, SHARP’s nanoHD Plus Filter captures up to 99% of particles as tiny as 0.003 µm, clearing the air of PM2.5, PM10, mould, pollen and pet dander.
Following rigorous assessments by the British Allergy Foundation, the purifier received the Allergy UK Seal of Approval. This endorsement recognises the appliance for its verified ability to reduce household exposure to airborne pollen and dust mite allergens.
Working alongside these physical barriers, SHARP’s Plasmacluster Ion Technology releases positive and negative ions directly into the living space. The company states that this active process suppresses up to 99.9% of airborne bacteria and viruses. Backed by evaluations across more than 40 international institutes and organisations, the proprietary technology has now been incorporated into over 100 million products globally.
Haze Mode increases air collection
To cope with regional pollution spikes, Haze Mode accelerates air collection to swiftly trap smoky particles entering domestic spaces during bouts of poor outdoor air quality. Homes with animal companions can alternatively switch to Pet Mode for targeted air care. To ensure automatic adjustments, six integrated sensors continuously track fine dust, odour levels, ambient light, humidity and temperature, enabling the purifier to respond in real time to fluctuating indoor conditions.
Circulation relies on SHARP’s Wall Fit COANDA Airflow system, which pushes clean air upwards and across the ceiling along the room contours, achieving a maximum delivery rate of 7.0 m³ per minute. At the same time, a rapid rear airstream draws in settled dust and heavier particles hovering near the floor. This specialised airflow dynamic enables the appliance to function efficiently while standing flush against a wall. As a result, homeowners can position the purifier unobtrusively at the room perimeter rather than surrendering central floor space.
Everyday operation and air monitoring can be handled remotely using the SHARP mobile app, which pairs via Bluetooth during initial setup and includes an AI Custom feature to tailor performance to individual habits. Upkeep is similarly straightforward, as users can vacuum the side-mounted pre-filters directly without detaching the outer panels.

Weighing 7.2 kg, the purifier features a compact form factor measuring 285 × 525 × 285 mm. Its space-conscious aesthetic earned recognition at the iF Design Award 2026, reflecting an emphasis on blending quietly into modern residential interiors.
The SHARP FX-S82E-B/L retails at S$744 and comes in two colour options, Stone Black and Stone Grey.
