More than 21,000 TikTok LIVE Creator Networks now support 4.7 million creators globally, according to figures released at the platform’s inaugural Creator Networks Global Summit in Bangkok. Southeast Asia accounts for about 25% of these networks and one-third of the creators they support.
TikTok also introduced LIVE Bax, an AI-powered business assistant for Creator Networks, and published a global whitepaper examining how these organisations support creator development. More than 1,000 Creator Network leaders, partners and industry stakeholders attended the summit at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, which was organised around the theme “The Professionalization of LIVE”.
Creator Networks support millions of LIVE creators
More than 240 million creators went LIVE on TikTok globally in 2025, nearly double the previous year, according to the company. TikTok’s framework for developing creators begins with consistent livestreaming and community safety, followed by audience engagement, production quality and establishing a distinct content identity across areas including music, dance, gaming and learning. Creator Networks provide local support around that process. TikTok describes them as independent third-party businesses that can operate as training hubs, business incubators and partners for creators, helping with areas such as production, digital storytelling and creator development.
“Professionalisation isn’t about scripting creators or changing what makes them authentic,” said Claire Li, Head of LIVE Creator Networks, Product and Strategy, TikTok. “It’s about giving creators the operational foundations, practical guidance, and trusted local support they need to build thriving communities and turn their creative passion into sustainable, long-term success.”
Southeast Asia represents a sizeable part of the network, with around one-quarter of Creator Networks worldwide operating in the region and one-third of all creators supported by these organisations residing there. TikTok says regional partners develop skills in production, digital storytelling and creator development while adapting content to local cultures and audiences. Meanwhile, Creator Networks operate independently and on their own behalf, and TikTok states that it does not endorse, sponsor or assume responsibility for their business activities or conduct.
LIVE Bax targets routine network work
LIVE Bax is integrated into LIVE Backstage, which serves as TikTok’s operating platform for Creator Networks. The AI assistant is designed to streamline daily workflows and provide performance information that network teams can use when working with creators.
TikTok expects the tool to reduce time spent on routine data analysis, allowing teams to focus more on creator development, production planning and direct support. The company is also using its LIVE Monetisation Guidelines and Creator Network guidance to set expectations around content quality, platform integrity and community standards. Those guidelines cover a range of LIVE formats, including educational and culinary livestreams, cultural content and sports.
TikTok publishes Creator Networks whitepaper
TikTok also released TikTok LIVE Creator Networks: Fueling the Next Wave of Industry Growth, a global whitepaper setting out its approach to Creator Networks and their role in the LIVE ecosystem. The report links consistent creator support with improvements in content quality and community engagement, presenting Creator Networks as a key driver that provides local support while operating independently from the main platform.
The summit concluded with awards recognising Creator Networks for creator incubation, content format innovation and regional impact. At the same time, TikTok reiterated plans to expand creator education and provide further tools for creators and network partners.
