CapCut has reached more than 660 million users across over 170 markets and 30 languages, driven by an expanding range of artificial intelligence tools for video, images, design and audio. The platform shared these growth milestones during the inaugural CapCut World event in Singapore, which brought together more than 300 creators, industry representatives and CapCut employees.
The Singapore gathering marks the first in a series of community events planned across Southeast Asia, the US and Europe. Further editions are scheduled to take place in Los Angeles and London later this year.
AI tools connect more stages of content creation
CapCut now offers more than 85 AI tools across its creative suite. According to company figures, more than 7 million creators use these artificial intelligence features each day. Together, this community has produced more than 6 billion original content generations, including images, video clips and effects, during 2026.
To support creators from concept to completion, the platform is actively connecting several of these tools across different stages of production. Within the CapCut app, AI Lab allows creators to develop ideas using natural-language instructions, which can then be brought into Infinite Canvas to build out stories, characters, shots and scenes. Projects can subsequently transfer into CapCut’s multi-track editor with their assets and creative context carried across. Throughout this editing stage, Edit Pilot works alongside the creator as an AI assistant, interpreting instructions and applying relevant editing tools directly to the project.
Specialised media generation is supported through the integration of Dreamina Seedance for video, Dola Seedream for images and Seed Audio for sound. Within Video Studio, Seedance lets creators adjust specific timestamps, characters or other shot elements without regenerating an entire scene. Design Studio provides comparable control over images, enabling users to circle regions or draw arrows to indicate edits, whilst separating individual elements into layers that can be moved and resized.
Alongside these editing capabilities, CapCut has incorporated invisible watermarks across its AI-assisted creation tools. It has also adopted C2PA Content Credentials to serve as formal transparency measures.
Skills makes creative processes reusable
Templates remain a major part of CapCut’s platform, with more than 400,000 new templates published each day. Building on this established foundation, CapCut recently introduced Skills, which allows creators to save and share the styles, techniques and workflows behind their work.
A saved process can be reused across projects or shared with other creators, reducing the need to recreate the same approach each time. Filmmaker and CapCut creator Vee Camallere used Skills while producing her AI series Featherweight, which has reached more than 25 million views. She saved the series’ colour-grading process so the same visual treatment could be applied across episodes. “When the story moves between scenes, I can call it up and the look stays consistent, that’s what sets this whole process apart,” Camallere noted.
Skills also gives creators a practical way to share how a piece of content was produced. This framework allows others to study and adapt the techniques behind the finished work.
CapCut World starts in Singapore
CapCut World is the company’s first community event series across Southeast Asia, the US and Europe. The Singapore event centred on creator experiences, production techniques and CapCut’s growing range of AI-assisted creation tools. Following this opening gathering, the company plans to bring CapCut World to Los Angeles and London later in 2026.
Its broader product development covers video, images, design and AI-assisted creation across mobile, desktop, web and tablet. Xiaoqi Fu, Global Head of CapCut, described that expansion as building on the platform’s original focus on video creation. “Our roots are in making video creation easier and more accessible,” Fu said. “And we’re building on that foundation to bring more of the creative journey together, across editing, design and new tools, while keeping the choices that define your work in your hands.”
