CHANGAN is introducing the Q05 electric SUV in Singapore at an exclusive launch price of S$174,999. Making its local debut at The Car Expo 2026 on 24 and 25 October, the Cat A compact SUV joins the CHANGAN S05 and S07 as the most accessible model in the brand’s local electric vehicle range.
Inside, the five-seater offers a spacious cabin, connected infotainment features and a range of driver assistance systems. CHANGAN describes the Q05 as China’s best-selling compact SUV, citing more than 100,000 units sold and a first-place ranking in the segment.
Driving range of up to 394 km and charging of up to 90kW
Powering the front-wheel-drive Q05 is a permanent magnet synchronous motor producing 99 kW (135 PS) and 190 Nm of torque. CHANGAN quotes a 0–100 km/h acceleration time of 9.7 seconds, while a minimum turning radius of 5.3 metres is intended to make navigating narrow streets and confined parking spaces easier.
A 51.9 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery delivers up to 394 km of range under the WLTP Combined cycle, or up to 566 km under the WLTP City cycle. For recharging, the Q05 supports DC fast charging at up to 90 kW, allowing the battery to charge from 30% to 80% in approximately 25 minutes, according to CHANGAN. That said, actual charging times depend on factors including the charging equipment, ambient temperature, battery temperature, state of charge and the age and condition of the battery and vehicle.
Interior space and connected features
Measuring 4,435 mm long, 1,855 mm wide and 1,600 mm tall with a 2,735 mm wheelbase, the Q05 provides seating for five occupants. Its boot provides 450 litres of storage, expanding to 1,380 litres with the rear seats folded, while an additional 90-litre underfloor compartment offers space for charging cables and other items. Cabin seating includes ventilated microfibre leather front seats with six-way electrical adjustment for the driver and four-way adjustment for the front passenger. Overhead, a panoramic glass roof features an electric sunshade, complemented throughout the interior by 256-colour ambient lighting, automatic air conditioning, rear air-conditioning outlets and a PM2.5 filter.
Digital interactions centre on a 14.6-inch central touchscreen providing access to infotainment, navigation and entertainment functions, supported by a 10.17-inch digital instrument cluster. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity are available, together with intelligent voice control, over-the-air software updates and remote vehicle functions through a mobile application.
Amenities and convenience equipment extend to a 50W wireless smartphone charger, an eight-speaker audio system, rain-sensor wipers and power-folding side mirrors, while the power tailgate also features anti-pinch protection. On the exterior, the Q05 rides on 18-inch alloy wheels and features LED daytime running lights and LED taillights with a through-light design, complemented by a rear spoiler incorporating a high-mounted brake light.
Advanced driver assistance and Singapore availability
To support drivers across different traffic conditions, the Q05 comes with several advanced driver assistance features. Integrated Adaptive Cruise Control, Traffic Jam Assist and Lane Centering Control form part of the system, which also includes Forward Collision Warning, Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane Departure Warning and Lane Keeping Assist. In addition, Blind Spot Detection and Lane Change Assist are complemented by Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Rear Cross Traffic Braking and Safe Exit Warning.
During parking and low-speed manoeuvres, a 3D around-view camera uses transparent chassis technology to provide a clearer view of the vehicle’s surroundings. Rear parking sensors provide additional assistance when negotiating tight spaces.
Singapore buyers can choose from five exterior colours: Moonlight White, Mercury Silver, Deep Space Black, Starlight Grey and Aurora Pink. The Q05 will also be available for viewing and test drives at the CHANGAN showroom at 281 Alexandra Road, Level 2. Premium Automobiles has helped establish CHANGAN’s local presence since 2025, supporting its growing electric vehicle line-up.
