Cloudera and Intel partner to drive enterprise AI adoption in Asia Pacific

Cloudera and Intel partner to accelerate enterprise AI adoption across APAC with scalable deployments powered by Intel Xeon 6.

Cloudera has announced a new collaboration with Intel to help organisations across Asia Pacific accelerate widespread adoption of enterprise-grade artificial intelligence. The partnership brings Intel Xeon 6 processors into Cloudera’s AI platform, allowing enterprises to deploy and manage advanced AI workloads more efficiently across hybrid and on-premises environments.

The companies stated that the growing number of organisations moving beyond experimentation requires platforms that can manage operational complexity at scale. Cloudera said its AI platform is designed to support this shift by enabling intelligence to be brought directly to enterprise data, with a focus on security, governance and flexibility.

Remus Lim, Senior Vice President of Asia Pacific and Japan at Cloudera, said that enterprises in the region are now prioritising real deployments. “Enterprises are no longer experimenting with AI. They’re executing at scale, and that demands a platform built for real-world complexity,” he said. “Cloudera AI brings intelligence to data, backed by enterprise-grade security, governance, and flexibility. Our deep collaboration with Intel helps to ensure that our customers in India and across APAC have the ability to turn AI innovation into tangible business outcomes.”

Scaling AI workloads with Intel Xeon 6

Intel noted that enterprises are seeking platforms that combine efficient performance with responsible operation. The company said that its Xeon 6 processors provide a foundation for scalable and cost-efficient AI deployments, particularly in environments where resilience and operational reliability are essential.

Santhosh Viswanathan, Vice President and Managing Director, India Region at Intel, said the shift towards AI-native enterprises is accelerating. “AI is transforming how businesses operate, while its success depends on efficient and responsible deployment. We believe that establishing an AI-native enterprise demands a new class of platforms built for scale, resilience, and cost-efficiency,” he said. “As enterprises begin to accelerate their AI deployments, the Cloudera stack powered by Intel’s enterprise-ready AI platforms helps customers unlock value from their data faster, more securely, and at scale.”

The companies jointly released a whitepaper outlining how the collaboration supports new approaches to enterprise AI. It highlights several areas of innovation, including agentic AI systems, human-in-the-loop workflows, on-premises conversational AI powered by automatic speech recognition and entity recognition, and the use of the Model Context Protocol to link data marts with large language models. It also emphasises the importance of small language models, which deliver advanced AI capabilities through compact and efficient architectures.

Cloudera’s position in the enterprise AI landscape

Cloudera positioned itself as the only data and AI platform designed to bring intelligence to enterprise data wherever it resides. The company said its platform provides a consistent operating environment across public cloud, data centres and edge deployments, supported by an open-source foundation that large organisations trust.

According to the company, its customers rely on Cloudera to manage all forms of data with unified security, governance and real-time predictive insights. Its platform is used across industries to support decision-making, reduce risk, and improve operational visibility.

Cloudera said the collaboration with Intel strengthens its ability to meet the needs of enterprises seeking to scale AI adoption while maintaining control of their data.
