DEEPAL launches flagship S07 and opens showroom in Singapore

DEEPAL launches in Singapore with new showroom and flagship S07 electric SUV, marking its sixth global market.

DEEPAL, the premium electric vehicle (EV) brand under CHANGAN Automobile, has officially launched in Singapore, marking its continued international expansion. The brand’s local debut is anchored by the opening of a new showroom at 281 Alexandra Road and the introduction of its flagship electric SUV, the DEEPAL S07.

This move positions Singapore as the sixth international market for DEEPAL since it began its global rollout in 2023. The brand has already established a presence in Thailand, Australia, Mexico, Nepal, and Pakistan. Backed by CHANGAN’s legacy of over 160 years in automotive manufacturing, DEEPAL’s entry into Singapore reflects its ongoing push to offer intelligent and sustainable mobility solutions worldwide.

CHANGAN has heavily invested in global research and development to enhance its electric and smart vehicle technologies. The launch in Singapore is also a key part of the company’s “Vast Ocean Plan”, which aims to generate more than US$10 billion in overseas market investments and reach over 1.2 million overseas sales annually by 2030.

Speaking at the launch, Mr Shen Xing Hua, Managing Director of CHANGAN Auto Southeast Asia, said, “DEEPAL is poised to be a world-class automotive brand. With a global network of over 1,000 suppliers and dealers, including our latest partnership with Premium Automobiles, we are accelerating towards that vision. Singapore plays a pivotal role in CHANGAN’s globalisation strategy… and we are certain that the market will serve as a strategic launchpad for the region.”

Singapore’s new EV hub features showroom and customer handover ceremony

DEEPAL’s showroom, the second of its kind in the region, features large LED display panels and a sleek, interactive space where visitors can explore the full electric vehicle line-up. The facility includes a main floor that can display up to 12 vehicles and a service centre on the second basement level, offering customers a complete retail and aftersales experience.

To commemorate the launch, DEEPAL will host an official handover ceremony to deliver the first S07 units to Singaporean customers. This marks a major milestone in the brand’s local operations, underlining its commitment to providing next-generation mobility solutions in the market.

The showroom is designed as more than just a car retail space. It offers a range of experiential features including a premium lounge for guests, a child-friendly play area, and a DEEPAL café serving wellness-themed refreshments inspired by the brand’s nature-forward philosophy.

The highlight of DEEPAL’s Singapore line-up is the S07, a mid-sized electric SUV that embodies the brand’s vision of sustainable, innovation-led transport. Since its global debut, the S07 has recorded over 50,000 cumulative sales in just five months. It combines stylish design, advanced electric performance, intelligent features, and robust safety systems.

Equipped with an advanced electric drivetrain, the S07 offers a range of up to 475km on a single charge, making it suitable for long-distance driving. Alongside the S07, DEEPAL is also previewing two upcoming models – the compact S05 and the versatile E07, which blends the functionality of a Ute with the refinement of an electric SUV. These additions are set to expand DEEPAL’s offering and solidify its position in the intelligent EV space.

Mr Hadi Widjaja Tanaga, President of Premium Automobiles Group, said, “The launch of DEEPAL’s showroom in Singapore marks an exciting milestone in our portfolio to redefine mobility through intelligent and sustainable solutions. With Singapore’s strong commitment to electrification, we are confident that the DEEPAL S07, alongside the upcoming DEEPAL S05 and E07, will empower Singaporean drivers with future-forward mobility experiences.”

Open House weekend to engage the community

To celebrate its launch, DEEPAL is hosting an Open House Weekend on 29-30 March. The event invites the public to experience the new showroom and participate in a series of activities designed around creativity and sustainability.

Visitors will be able to design their own tote bags, create car key tags and coasters from recycled plastic, and enjoy exclusive food and drinks at the in-house café. There will also be a live radio broadcast by Love 97.2FM from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM.

The DEEPAL S07 starts at S$220,999 and comes with a five-year vehicle warranty and a ten-year battery warranty. The launch of DEEPAL in Singapore marks a significant step in the brand’s regional strategy, underscoring its mission to lead in intelligent, sustainable electric mobility.
