Five Annapurna Interactive titles announced for Nintendo Switch 2
Annapurna Interactive confirms five titles for Switch 2, including upgrades and new releases arriving between May and June.
Annapurna Interactive has revealed that five of its games are set to arrive on the Nintendo Switch 2, expanding its catalogue for the newly released console. The announcement includes a mix of upgraded versions of existing titles and games debuting on Nintendo hardware.

The publisher confirmed that three titles will receive next-generation enhancements, while two others will launch directly on the platform without prior releases on Nintendo systems. The move reflects Annapurna Interactive’s ongoing support for Nintendo consoles and its continued partnership with independent developers.
The first wave of releases became available immediately, offering enhanced visuals and performance features tailored to the Switch 2’s upgraded hardware. Additional titles are scheduled to arrive throughout late May and June, giving players a steady stream of new content in the coming weeks.
Launch upgrades bring enhanced performance and new features
Two well-known titles, Sayonara Wild Hearts and Lorelei and the Laser Eyes, are now available on the Switch 2. Both games have been updated to take advantage of the console’s improved capabilities, including support for 120Hz refresh rates and 4K resolution output. These technical upgrades are intended to deliver smoother gameplay and sharper visuals compared with their earlier versions.
New buyers can purchase Sayonara Wild Hearts for US$13, while Lorelei and the Laser Eyes, originally released in 2024, is priced at US$25. Players who previously bought either title on the original Nintendo Switch can upgrade to the enhanced versions at no additional cost, providing a straightforward transition for existing owners.
Sayonara Wild Hearts also introduces an additional feature previously unavailable on Nintendo platforms. The Remix Arcade mode has been added for the Switch 2 release, offering faster gameplay with loading times removed. This mode focuses on achieving high scores, encouraging repeated play and quicker sessions designed to showcase the console’s responsiveness.
The arrival of these upgraded titles demonstrates Annapurna Interactive’s strategy of extending the lifespan of established games while leveraging the technical advantages of new hardware. It also signals the publisher’s intention to ensure its popular catalogue remains accessible to players upgrading to the latest generation of Nintendo consoles.
Upcoming releases scheduled for May and June
Another major release confirmed for the Switch 2 is the cyberpunk-inspired adventure Stray, which is scheduled to launch on 28 May. The game, known for its focus on navigating environments from a feline perspective, will feature improved 4K visuals and higher frame rates on the new hardware.

In addition to visual upgrades, the Switch 2 version of Stray will include mouse control functionality. This feature aligns with the game’s feline theme and offers an alternative method of interaction that may appeal to players seeking a more tactile control experience. The title will be available digitally on the Nintendo eShop for US$30, although Annapurna Interactive has not yet confirmed whether existing Switch owners will receive a free upgrade.
Further releases are planned for June, beginning with To a T, a puzzle-adventure game from Keita Takahashi, creator of the Katamari series. The title initially launched last year without support for Nintendo consoles, making its arrival on the Switch 2 notable for players who prefer the company’s hardware ecosystem. To a T is scheduled for digital release on 11 June at US$20.
Later in the month, on 23 June, Wanderstop will arrive on both the original Switch and the Switch 2. The narrative-driven title, described as a cosy storytelling experience, will be available digitally through the eShop for US$25. Annapurna Interactive has not announced whether a physical version will be released, leaving digital distribution as the only confirmed option at present.
Continued support signals long-term commitment to Nintendo platforms
Annapurna Interactive has previously established a strong presence on Nintendo Switch, releasing a broad selection of independent titles across multiple genres. The company’s latest announcements suggest this trend will continue throughout the Switch 2’s lifecycle, reinforcing its commitment to delivering diverse gaming experiences on Nintendo platforms.
Earlier this month, the musical turn-based role-playing game People of Note launched alongside the Switch 2, providing one of the early additions to the console’s library. Another upcoming release, the stylised adventure Mixtape, is scheduled to arrive on 7 May, further expanding the range of available titles during the console’s early adoption phase.
The steady flow of releases highlights Annapurna Interactive’s role as a prominent publisher in the independent gaming sector. By supporting both upgraded editions of existing games and entirely new launches, the company aims to maintain engagement among long-time players while attracting newcomers to the platform.
