FPT and Salesforce open ASEAN data and AI centre to support banking use cases
FPT and Salesforce launch a Hanoi centre to help banks deploy AI use cases and scale data-driven operations across Vietnam and ASEAN.
FPT Corporation has launched a Salesforce-focused Center of Excellence in Hanoi, developed in collaboration with Salesforce, aimed at helping financial institutions move from AI experimentation to operational deployment.

Located at FPT Tower, the facility is positioned as the first ASEAN Salesforce Center of Excellence for Data and AI Innovation. It provides a controlled environment for banks to test, refine, and deploy data-driven applications, with a focus on practical use cases across the customer lifecycle.
Focus on applied AI in financial services
The centre is designed primarily for Vietnam’s banking sector, though its scope extends to ASEAN. It showcases live use cases such as digital onboarding workflows, AI-driven financial personalisation based on spending behaviour, and predictive systems that identify customers ready for new financial products.
It also includes real-time customer intelligence capabilities that integrate interactions across channels, alongside an executive dashboard powered by Tableau to translate operational data into decision-ready insights. The aim is to reduce the gap between proof-of-concept AI projects and deployable systems within financial institutions.
FPT and Salesforce are using the centre as a joint development environment, where both companies co-develop applications and refine deployment approaches. The facility also supports training programmes on Agentforce and Data 360 to build local implementation capability.
Building delivery capacity and ecosystem readiness
FPT has expanded its Salesforce delivery footprint in Vietnam over the past decade, building a team of more than 1,000 developers and securing over 800 certifications. The company has also delivered more than 200 projects globally, including sector-specific accelerators and validated use cases for financial services.
The centre consolidates these capabilities into a single environment where institutions can test applications before scaling them across operations. This includes both technical validation and organisational readiness, particularly for workflows involving AI-assisted decision-making.

Platform integration and agentic enterprise model
Salesforce positions the centre as an extension of its platform strategy, which integrates data, applications, and AI agents within a unified system. The Agentic Enterprise model combines human workflows with automated decision systems, with the stated goal of improving productivity and customer engagement.

Regional positioning and expansion potential
While the centre is anchored in Vietnam, it is intended to support broader ASEAN adoption, with use cases that can be extended to other industries beyond banking. FPT and Salesforce describe the facility as part of a wider effort to establish Vietnam as a regional hub for applied AI development.
The initiative aligns with ongoing digital transformation efforts in Vietnam’s financial sector, where data infrastructure, AI deployment, and cross-border connectivity are increasingly linked to economic development targets.
