Garmin CIRQA Smart Band tracks health and fitness without a screen
Garmin’s CIRQA Smart Band offers screen-free health, sleep and activity tracking with up to 10 days of battery life.
Garmin has annouced the CIRQA Smart Band, marking its first screen-free wearable dedicated to continuous health, sleep, and activity tracking. Delivering up to 10 days of battery life, the device automatically stores its readings in the Garmin Connect app, allowing users to review their results without paying for a subscription.

By removing the display, Garmin positions the CIRQA in a distinct role compared to its traditional smartwatches. The band quietly records information in the background while leaving detailed readings and activity logs to the companion application. Garmin presents the device as a complementary partner to its broader ecosystem of smartwatches and wellness monitors, enabling people to move between Garmin products throughout the day while keeping their information within the same platform.
Designed for extended wear, the device features a comfortable fabric strap that can be placed around either the wrist or the upper arm, adapting easily to specific activities or sleep preferences. Garmin will sell the wearable in two sizes, S/M and L/XL, with Black, French Gray, Captain Blue, and Mauve colour options.
Health and sleep data stay in Garmin Connect
The CIRQA tracks wrist-based heart rate, stress, skin temperature, and Garmin’s Body Battery energy score. Pulse Ox measurements are also supported, although feature availability varies by country.
To provide a comprehensive view of nightly rest, the device draws several sleep measurements into a single consolidated record. Garmin Connect delivers a breakdown of sleep stages, a sleep score, recommended sleep duration, heart rate variability, respiration, and detected naps. Integrated recovery information is presented alongside these metrics to help users assess how well they have rested before undertaking another workout.
In addition, menstrual cycle and pregnancy tracking are available through Garmin Connect. By evaluating skin temperature readings collected during sleep, the app can contribute to period predictions as well as retrospective ovulation estimates.
Wearers can also synchronise this information with Natural Cycles, an app described by Garmin as an FDA-cleared birth control application. Because Natural Cycles requires a separate paid subscription, it represents an exception to the CIRQA’s core subscription-free positioning.
Garmin states that these health and fertility features are intended strictly for general wellness and should not be used to diagnose or monitor any medical condition.
Activity records can be reviewed after a workout
For daily movement, the CIRQA records steps and calories burned while supporting manual tracking for more than 80 activities, including running, walking, and yoga. Users can assign a favourite activity to the band’s single side button, allowing a session to begin instantly without opening the mobile app.
Automatic activity detection provides another convenient option when a workout is not started manually. Recorded sessions can be reviewed and edited afterwards within Garmin Connect, and Garmin claims that the band will progressively improve its activity classification as wearers confirm or correct those records.
The built-in training tools extend well beyond basic movement tracking. The CIRQA includes training readiness, heart rate variability status, estimated VO2 max, and overall training status, together with workout benefit and recovery-time estimates. These readings are designed to show how a session affected the body and how much rest may be needed before another demanding workout.
Outdoor route tracking depends on a connected smartphone because the band uses the GPS connection of a compatible iPhone or Android device. Maintaining this phone connection also enables LiveTrack, allowing selected friends and family members to follow the wearer’s location in real time through Garmin Connect.
