The Leica SL3-P is available worldwide from 25 June through Leica Stores, the Leica Online Store and authorised dealers. In Singapore, the camera is priced at S$8,800 including GST.
SL-System gains a new camera body
The SL3-P extends Leica’s full-frame SL-System, which launched in 2015 and is based on the L-Mount. The system is aimed at users who want a camera and lens platform for both still photography and video work.
Leica describes the SL3-P as its most advanced full-frame camera to date. The company said the wider SL-System has been developed through consultation with professional users and refined through practical experience, while also giving non-professional users access to high-quality image and video production through more intuitive operation.
The launch places the SL3-P at the centre of Leica’s current SL-System update, with the camera body joined by the Summilux-SL 50 f/1.4 ASPH. and APO-Macro-Elmarit-SL 100 f/2.8 lenses.
Kit options start from S$10,350
Leica is offering three SL3-P kit options at launch. The SL3-P 28–70 Vario Kit is priced at S$10,350 including GST and includes the Vario-Elmarit-SL 28–70 f/2.8 ASPH.
The SL3-P 24–70 Vario Kit is priced at S$11,090 including GST and includes the Vario-Elmarit-SL 24–70 f/2.8 ASPH. A higher-priced SL3-P 24–70 & 70–200 Vario Kit is available at S$14,490 including GST, pairing the camera with the Vario-Elmarit-SL 24–70 f/2.8 ASPH. and Vario-Elmarit-SL 70–200 f/2.8 ASPH.
The kit structure gives buyers a choice between the camera body alone, a single-lens setup, or a broader two-lens package covering standard and telephoto shooting needs.
New prime and macro lenses expand the line-up
The Summilux-SL 50 f/1.4 ASPH. adds a fast 50mm prime lens to the SL-System. The APO-Macro-Elmarit-SL 100 f/2.8 gives the system a macro option for close-up work.
Together, the SL3-P and new lenses broaden Leica’s full-frame SL line-up for users building around the L-Mount system. The launch also gives existing SL users new body and lens options within the same system.
