Lenovo adds new LOQ gaming PCs and high-refresh Legion monitors
Lenovo unveils entry-level LOQ laptops, an upgradeable tower desktop, and 360Hz Legion gaming monitors featuring dual display modes and fast refresh rates.
Lenovo has expanded its gaming portfolio with the introduction of two LOQ Essential laptops, a LOQ desktop tower, and a pair of 27-inch Legion monitors. Aimed squarely at players purchasing their first gaming rig, the new LOQ systems provide multiple configuration paths spanning integrated graphics, discrete NVIDIA graphics, and an upgradeable desktop chassis.

The portable side of the range is led by the LOQ Essential 15IPH11, which combines Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors with integrated Intel Arc graphics, and the LOQ Essential 15IRH11, which matches Intel Core 200 series processors with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Laptop GPU. Expanding the family to the desktop format, the LOQ Tower 17IRH11 accommodates high-end configurations equipped with up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Ti GPU.
LOQ Essential laptops offer two graphics options
At the core of the LOQ Essential 15IPH11 is a unified memory architecture that allows the processor and integrated Intel Arc graphics to share system memory dynamically. Rather than locking off a fixed allotment purely for video performance, the system allocates available memory between graphical rendering and other general workloads based on immediate demand. These integrated Intel Arc graphics deliver hardware-accelerated ray tracing and Intel XeSS upscaling across compatible gaming titles, while a dedicated neural processing unit runs supported artificial intelligence applications locally.
Visuals on the 15IPH11 are presented on a 15.3-inch 16 by 10 display capable of reaching a 165Hz refresh rate alongside 100% sRGB colour coverage. Lenovo has constructed the chassis to be 10% lighter and slimmer than its predecessor, whilst still delivering up to 21 hours of battery life. Connectivity is anchored by Thunderbolt 4 with USB-C charging support between 65W and 100W, and users retain room for future system memory and SSD upgrades.
Taking an alternative hardware approach, the LOQ Essential 15IRH11 adopts a dedicated graphics setup by pairing Intel Core 200 series processors with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Laptop GPU. It retains the same 15.3-inch 16 by 10 screen dimensions, 165Hz refresh rate options, and 100% sRGB colour space coverage, housed in a chassis that is likewise 10% slimmer and lighter than the previous model.
Both laptop models are due to arrive on the market in October. The LOQ Essential 15IPH11 carries an estimated starting price of US$1,399, while the LOQ Essential 15IRH11 begins at an estimated US$979.99.
LOQ Tower is built for later upgrades
The LOQ Tower 17IRH11 delivers a 17-litre pre-built desktop platform designed to adapt as user performance needs expand over time. Built around Intel Core 200 series processors, the chassis supports configurations up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Ti GPU alongside up to 32GB of DDR5 memory. Tool-free maintenance is facilitated through Lenovo Easy Upgrade Access to simplify installing or swapping components, with storage handled by a PCIe Gen4 SSD alongside extra internal expansion bays, while wireless connectivity reaches Wi-Fi 7 standards. A concealed air-duct structure oversees internal thermal regulation, offering selectable operating modes so users can tailor the balance between system cooling and fan acoustics, complemented by onboard Legion Space software and Nahimic audio support.
Pricing and regional availability for the LOQ Tower 17IRH11 will vary depending on the market. Local launch dates and specific retail configurations will be confirmed by regional branches.
Legion monitors reach refresh rates of up to 360Hz
Alongside the PC systems, the Legion 27Q-20 and Legion 27U-20 introduce two 27-inch gaming displays engineered with distinct resolutions and refresh capabilities. The Legion 27Q-20 features a 2,560 × 1,440 resolution panel running at a native 320Hz refresh rate with a 1ms grey-to-grey response time. To eliminate tearing and judder in fast-moving titles, it includes AMD FreeSync Premium, Adaptive Sync, and NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible certifications. Esports enthusiasts can also engage Focus View mode, which crops the active display area down to a 24.5-inch format with darkened borders to suit competitive play.
Offering multi-resolution versatility, the Legion 27U-20 incorporates dual-mode switching that lets gamers choose between visual fidelity and outright speed. The monitor can operate at 3,840 × 2,160 resolution at 180Hz for detail-intensive tasks, or drop to Full HD at 360Hz when high frame rates are paramount. For multi-device workflows, Picture-in-Picture and Picture-by-Picture capabilities allow simultaneous viewing of feeds from multiple inputs.
Both monitors cover 99% of the sRGB and 95% of the DCI-P3 colour gamuts, with factory calibration yielding a Delta E rating under 2. Each display supports VESA DisplayHDR 400 with a rated brightness of 400 nits, sits on a fully adjustable stand offering height, tilt, pivot, and swivel movement, and provides HDMI 2.1 FRL alongside DisplayPort 1.4 connections. Extended viewing comfort is reinforced by Natural Low Blue Light technology and Eyesafe 2.0 certification, while Legion Space software adds gaming tools including AI Crosshair, Game Companion, AI Walkthrough, and Win-Moment Show, with broader system adjustments accessible through Lenovo Accessory and Display Manager.
