Transformers has been one of the most successful movie franchises. The latest news about the franchise is the seventh movie of the transformers will be dropping on June 24, 2022 courtesy of Paramount.

“Aside from the animated prequel movie, Paramount will as well produce an untitled seventh installment of the Transformers movie series,” The Hollywood Reporter reported. The film will be written by Joby Harold, who was part of John Wick Chapter 3, and James Vanderbilt, who wrote Zodiac.

Harold’s script will be a follow-up of the 2018 Bumblebee, while James’ script will be a spinoff based on Beast Wars, the transformers series. It means that the movie will be first of the revamped live-action universe, which was kickstarted by the Travis Knight’s film.

For now, there isn’t a lot known about the film apart from the release date. Transformers fans can look forward to the release of animated Transformers prequel, which is directed by Josh Cooley, who directed the Academy winning, Toy Story 4, plus Netflix’s Transformers: War for Cybertron Trilogy which is expected to drop later this year.
