OPPO targets foldable display durability with Find N6 launch
OPPO will launch the Find N6 foldable on 17 March with a redesigned hinge and display aimed at reducing the visible screen crease.
Foldable smartphones continue to face a persistent design challenge, the visible crease along the folding display. OPPO’s upcoming Find N6 attempts to address that issue directly with a redesigned hinge and display system that the company claims significantly reduces the crease effect.

The device is scheduled for global launch on 17 March at OPPO’s Binhai Bay Campus in China. As the next entry in the company’s Find N foldable series, the Find N6 introduces a new display approach designed to make the fold line less noticeable during everyday use.
Foldable display design remains a central challenge
Since the early commercialisation of foldable smartphones, the crease formed along the folding screen has remained a widely discussed limitation. While manufacturers have refined hinge designs and panel materials over several generations, the crease continues to influence both visual appearance and touch experience.
OPPO positions the Find N6 as a step towards addressing that concern through what it calls a Zero-Feel Crease. According to the company, the approach is intended to deliver a flatter display surface and maintain smooth touch response across the folding section of the screen.
Pete Lau, Senior Vice President and Chief Product Officer at OPPO, said, “The OPPO Find N series has always led the foldable market by being on the front end of innovative technologies. With Find N6, we have achieved a major breakthrough in hinge architecture and display materials. By introducing the industry’s first Zero-Feel Crease, we are opening up new possibilities for what a foldable smartphone experience can be.”
Evolution of OPPO’s foldable hinge design
The Find N series has previously focused on hinge engineering as a way to minimise the visible fold line. The first Find N introduced a waterdrop Flexion Hinge design, which the company said reduced the depth and visibility of the crease compared with earlier foldable displays.
Subsequent generations have continued to refine that approach. Each iteration focused on improving the smoothness of the display surface and the tactile experience when interacting with the folding portion of the screen.
The Find N6 represents the next stage of that development. OPPO states that the device maintains a flat display appearance over extended use, aiming to reduce the long term effects that repeated folding can have on flexible displays.
Hardware design and imaging system
Beyond the hinge and display, the Find N6 also continues OPPO’s focus on reducing the thickness of book style foldable devices. The company describes the device as among the thinnest in its category, designed to maintain ergonomics closer to traditional bar style smartphones.
The camera system is integrated into a symmetrical Cosmos Ring module. OPPO states that the device includes a 200MP Hasselblad Ultra-Clear Camera intended to deliver professional grade imaging while maintaining a compact camera profile.
The Find N6 will be available in two colour options, Stellar Titanium and Blossom Orange. The Blossom Orange model includes a Gold Hinge Trim that uses a gilding technique incorporating genuine gold as part of the titanium alloy hinge casing.
Expanding productivity features for large screens
Foldable devices increasingly position their larger displays as productivity tools rather than purely media consumption screens. The Find N6 supports the OPPO AI Pen, a stylus designed to work with the device’s expanded display area.
According to OPPO, the stylus integrates AI powered features intended to support tasks such as writing, annotation, and other productivity functions. The company describes the pen as part of a broader effort to position the foldable device as a mobile workstation.
As foldable smartphones evolve, display durability, hinge engineering, and productivity features remain key areas where manufacturers attempt to differentiate their devices. The Find N6 places its primary focus on the physical experience of the folding display, an area that continues to shape user perception of the category.
