Samsung Galaxy A06 5G offers modern features at an affordable S$228

Get the Samsung Galaxy A06 5G in Singapore for S$228. It features 5G, a 50MP camera, a 5,000mAh battery, and Android 15. Available from March 21.

Samsung is well known for its high-end smartphones like the Galaxy S25 Ultra, but not everyone wants to spend a fortune on a phone that may become outdated in a few years. Many users prefer a simple, reliable device that meets their daily needs without unnecessary extras. The Samsung Galaxy A06 5G is designed for exactly that purpose—offering essential features at an affordable price.

Samsung Galaxy A06 5G: A budget-friendly choice

The Samsung Galaxy A06 5G is now available in Singapore for just S$228, making it an excellent option for those looking for a budget-friendly smartphone. It follows in the footsteps of Samsung’s other A-series models, such as the midrange Galaxy A36 5G and Galaxy A56 5G, but keeps things simple and accessible.

Powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor, the phone delivers decent performance for everyday tasks like social media, messaging, and streaming. This entry-level chipset is also used in other budget-friendly 5G smartphones, including the OPPO A3 Pro 5G and Vivo Y29 5G.

The Galaxy A06 5G features a 6.7-inch LCD with an HD+ resolution of 1,600 x 720 pixels and a 90Hz refresh rate. While it lacks AMOLED screens’ vibrant colours and deep blacks, it still provides a smooth viewing experience, especially when watching high-frame-rate content.

For photography, the device includes a 50MP main camera with autofocus, supported by a 2MP depth sensor to enhance image quality. The front camera is an 8MP sensor, suitable for selfies and video calls.

Premium features at an entry-level price

Despite its affordability, the Galaxy A06 5G includes features typically found in more expensive models. Its 5,000mAh battery with 25W wired charging ensures long-lasting usage with quick recharges when needed.

Another highlight is its IP54 water and dust resistance rating. Samsung claims the phone can withstand exposure to 10 litres of fresh water for five minutes from all angles, making it a more durable choice for everyday use.

The phone runs on Samsung’s One UI 7, based on Android 15, ensuring users get the latest software experience. Samsung has also committed to four generations of Android and One UI updates and four years of security updates, making this device a reliable option for those who want their phone to stay secure and up to date.

In Singapore, the phone is available in one variant: 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, providing enough space for apps, photos, and videos.

Where to buy the Samsung Galaxy A06 5G

Starting March 21, 2025, the Samsung Galaxy A06 5G will be available for S$228. It is available in three colour options: Black, Light Green, and Light Grey.

The phone can be bought from Samsung Experience Stores, the Samsung Online Store, the Samsung Shop app, and Samsung’s TikTok shop. It is also available through authorised retailers and e-commerce platforms like Lazada, Shopee, and iShopChangi.
