Samsung Galaxy S26 FE launches with One UI 9 and expanded Galaxy AI features
Samsung brings the Galaxy S26 FE to Singapore with an Exynos 2500 chip, 6.7-inch 120Hz display and enhanced AI tools, starting at S$1,018 from 28 August.
Samsung has introduced the Galaxy S26 FE, marking the newest addition to its Galaxy S26 lineup and the first model in the family to ship with One UI 9 out of the box. The handset pairs refreshed camera capabilities and expanded Galaxy AI tools with a 6.7-inch display, a 4,900mAh battery and support for 45W wired fast charging.

Camera adds subject tracking and AI editing
On the imaging side, the Galaxy S26 FE carries a versatile rear array comprising a 50MP main sensor with optical image stabilisation, a 12MP ultra-wide lens and an 8MP telephoto camera offering 3x optical zoom. Up front, a 12MP sensor handles selfies and video calls. Samsung has also incorporated Super Steady with Horizontal Lock to maintain level footage during dynamic action, while dedicated Nightography processing manages low-light photography.
Video creators can also take advantage of My FanCam, a capability first introduced on Samsung’s latest foldable phones that tracks a selected subject and reframes the shot dynamically as they move. For still images, the updated Photo Assist tool enables generative photo editing using simple natural-language prompts. Users can adjust scene lighting, insert new elements or restore missing parts of a picture, with full flexibility to review, revise or undo every modification before saving. Samsung states that any final image generated using Photo Assist will carry a visible watermark.
Rounding out the imaging suite is Gemini Omni, which turns still photos and video clips stored in the Gallery into finished video edits featuring music, smooth transitions and effects. Utilising this feature requires an eligible Google AI Pro subscription, and Samsung is providing qualifying Galaxy S26 FE buyers with a complimentary six-month trial that includes 5TB of cloud storage.
One UI 9 expands Galaxy AI tools
Running Android 17 with One UI 9, the smartphone delivers updates across several native Galaxy AI capabilities. The interface incorporates Now Brief, which offers customisable cards covering day-to-day updates like weather and wellness, alongside Custom Cards that users can generate using text prompts. Gemini is also equipped to handle complex multi-step instructions spanning web searches, content creation, information organisation and communication. In addition, Circle to Search with Google and Gemini Live can identify multiple subjects within a single image, enabling users to look up several products, places, objects or ideas simultaneously.
Performance is driven by Samsung’s Exynos 2500 processor paired with 8GB of memory, with onboard storage configurations available in 128GB, 256GB and 512GB. Up front, the 6.7-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display delivers a smooth 120Hz refresh rate and reaches a stated peak brightness of 1,900 nits. The internal 4,900mAh battery supports up to 45W wired charging, which Samsung notes can replenish roughly 69% in approximately 30 minutes when paired with a compatible 45W adapter sold separately. Users can also rely on 15W wireless charging as well as Wireless PowerShare for accessories.
Connectivity options include 5G, Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.4, while the device body is rated IP68 for water and dust resistance. Long-term software support is a priority, with Samsung committing to seven generations of operating system upgrades and seven years of security updates starting from the global launch date. Switching from an older Android or iOS device is handled by an upgraded Smart Switch app, which allows users to scan a QR code to transfer passwords, passkeys, call history, accessibility settings and eSIM profiles wirelessly, though exact feature availability depends on the specific device and network carrier.
Singapore pricing starts at S$1,018
The Galaxy S26 FE arrives in three colour finishes, namely Graphite, Blueberry and Pistachio. Pricing for the 128GB model starts at S$1,018 inclusive of GST, while the 256GB edition costs S$1,168 and the top-tier 512GB version is priced at S$1,468.

Shoppers can purchase the handset from 28 August at Samsung Experience Stores and selected Consumer Electronics & IT stores. Samsung’s Online Store, the Samsung Shop App and local telecommunications operators will then make the device available starting 4 September. Launch promotional offers will continue into October, providing total savings of up to S$350 depending on the chosen storage tier, retail channel and qualifying trade-in. Customers can also secure a 15% discount on selected Galaxy Watch, Buds and Tab models when bought alongside the Galaxy S26 FE during the promotional window.
