Serafim S3 CarX Edition brings CarX rewards and wired controls to mobile racing
Serafim S3 CarX Edition adds CarX rewards, Hall Effect controls, USB-C input, and MFi support for mobile racing.
Serafim has launched the Serafim S3 CarX Edition, a limited-edition version of its S3 Universal Mobile Game Controller created with CarX Technologies. The new model adds a red-and-black colourway inspired by the CarX racing universe, 200 CarX Store Coins, and the same mobile controller features that support wired, low-latency gameplay.

The controller is priced at US$89.99 or £68 on the Serafim website. The original S3 is available on Amazon.
A racing-focused version of the S3
The CarX Edition builds on the S3 platform rather than introducing a separate controller line. Its main distinction is the collaboration with CarX Technologies, the studio behind CarX Drift Racing Online, CarX Street, and CarX Drift Racing 3.
That partnership gives the controller a clearer audience than a standard mobile gamepad. CarX Drift Racing Online, available on PC through Steam, consoles, and mobile, includes more than 120 cars, extensive customisation, drift handling, multiplayer modes, and Top-32 formats for tandem drifting. Serafim said the controller is engineered to support precise steering, smooth throttle control, and faster response for players managing angle, transitions, and high-speed drift lines.
The inclusion of 200 CarX Store Coins also ties the hardware to the CarX ecosystem, giving players access to in-game rewards alongside the limited-edition design.
Wired input and Hall Effect controls
The S3 CarX Edition uses dual Hall Effect joysticks and Hall Effect analog triggers, which Serafim said provide drift-free precision with no dead zones. For racing games, that matters most in steering and throttle modulation, where small input changes can affect cornering, drifting, and vehicle control.
The controller connects directly through USB-C instead of Bluetooth. Serafim claims this delivers ultra-low-latency input up to 100 times faster than Bluetooth, while avoiding wireless interference during gameplay. For mobile racing, the wired setup is meant to reduce the delay between player input and on-screen response.
The controller is also Apple MFi Certified for iPhone devices. It includes a verified Apple authentication chip and is designed to meet Apple’s performance standards, supporting stable connectivity and a plug-and-play experience without compatibility warnings after iOS updates.
Built for phone-based gaming
Serafim has also carried over the S3’s mobile-first hardware features. The controller includes interchangeable ergonomic grips with four swappable pieces, allowing players to adjust the fit and feel of the device.
Its extendible frame supports smartphones up to 17.9 cm in length and works with more than 1,000 phone cases, including slim and thicker protective designs. This allows users to connect their phone without removing the case in many setups.
For longer sessions, passthrough charging keeps the phone powered while gaming. The built-in 3.5 mm headphone jack gives players a wired audio option, which may suit users who want a more direct setup while playing.
A physical screenshot and screen-recording button lets players capture gameplay from the controller. The Serafim Console App adds access to game discovery, gameplay recording, clip editing, livestreaming, and sharing tools. It also connects users to platforms and services including PS Remote Play, Xbox Game Pass, Steam, GeForce NOW, Amazon Luna, the App Store, and Google Play.
The Serafim S3 CarX Edition weighs approximately 143 g and comes with a one-year Serafim warranty.
