The price change arrives alongside an update to the Doom Anthology, which now includes the Premium edition of The Dark Ages. The package also includes the game’s Revelations downloadable content, giving new buyers access to additional content as part of the updated bundle.
Doom: The Dark Ages now costs US$50
The permanent reduction brings Doom: The Dark Ages to US$50. The move could make the game more attractive to players who have been waiting for a lower price before joining the latest chapter in the franchise.
The Dark Ages is the latest mainline Doom title and takes the series in a different direction from its recent predecessors while retaining the fast-paced combat that has become a defining part of the franchise. Players take control of the Doom Slayer in a dark medieval-inspired setting, combining traditional firearms with weapons and abilities designed around the game’s new setting.

However, the update does not automatically add the Premium edition of The Dark Ages to the libraries of people who already own the anthology. Existing owners will therefore not receive the new version simply because the bundle has been updated.
The updated Doom Anthology is also limited to current-generation platforms. It is available for PlayStation 5, Steam and Xbox Series X/S. Players still using older-generation consoles don’t need to buy the anthology again, since the revised version doesn’t apply to those platforms.
This platform limitation matters most for players who already own earlier Doom games through an existing anthology purchase. The updated package targets current hardware rather than expanding the collection to older consoles.
Shield Saw adds a new twist to Doom combat

With the permanent US$50 price now in place, players who have been undecided about The Dark Ages have a clearer opportunity to try the latest Doom without waiting for another sale.
