Garmin unveils new Edge cycling computers and Rally power meters

Garmin launches Edge 550 and 850 cycling computers and Rally 110 and 210 power meters, offering advanced training, safety and performance tools.

Garmin has expanded its cycling portfolio with the launch of the Edge 550 and 850 cycling computers, alongside the Rally 110 and 210 power meters. The new devices aim to give cyclists smarter training tools, improved performance tracking and reliable data, reinforcing Garmin’s growing cycling ecosystem.

Smarter cycling computers with advanced features

The Edge 550 and Edge 850 are compact cycling computers designed to help riders train more effectively and prepare for events. They integrate adaptive Garmin Cycling Coach plans that adjust based on recovery and course demands, while in-ride features such as smart fuelling alerts provide personalised hydration and nutrition reminders. Real-time weather overlays give cyclists constant updates during rides.

Both models feature a bright 2.7-inch colour display with quick, smooth map navigation. Battery performance is also notable, with up to 36 hours of ride time in saver mode and up to 12 hours under heavy use. The Edge 850 adds a built-in speaker for audible alerts and navigation, Garmin Pay contactless payments, and a responsive touchscreen for course creation and hazard reporting.

Mr Scoppen Lin, Assistant General Manager at Garmin Asia, said, “Whether cyclists are training for their next big race or pushing toward a new personal goal, Edge 550 and Edge 850 are with them every step of the way. While the brighter display ensures riders can see maps and data in stunning detail, they can also feel confident that they’ll perform at their best with more personalised insights and training plans.”

Enhanced safety and connectivity

Both devices are equipped with Garmin’s safety features, including incident detection and hazard alerts shared between riders. Family and friends can also track a rider’s progress through LiveTrack. Compatibility with Garmin’s Varia range allows cyclists to receive vehicle alerts, capture ride footage and control light and camera settings from the device. The Edge 850 further introduces a digital bike bell to alert nearby pedestrians and riders.

For off-road riders, new mountain biking profiles allow more detailed performance analysis. Features such as enduro and downhill modes with faster GPS recording, as well as timing gates for lap splits, provide more insight into demanding trails.

Power meters with rechargeable design

Alongside the cycling computers, Garmin introduced the Rally 110 and 210 power meters. These pedal-based systems provide accurate performance data with a redesigned spindle that delivers within 1% accuracy. The power meters are easy to transfer between bikes and can be fitted to both road and off-road pedal bodies.

The rechargeable battery provides up to 90 hours of ride time, with a 15-minute quick charge delivering an additional 12 hours. Pedal IQ smart calibration notifies riders when recalibration is required, while Travel Mode conserves power during transport. The Rally 210 dual-sensing option adds advanced metrics such as left-right balance and seated versus standing time.

The new design includes carbon polymer road pedal bodies and all-metal off-road versions for added durability. Both Rally 110 and 210 systems support SHIMANO SPD, SHIMANO SPD-SL and LOOK KEO cleats, with bundles available for road and off-road use.

Availability and pricing

The Edge 550 and Edge 850 will be available in Singapore from October 2025, with retail prices of S$629 and S$749 respectively. The Rally 110 single-sensing pedals will retail at S$949, while the Rally 210 dual-sensing pedals will cost S$1,529. The Rally XC110 and XC210 off-road models will be priced at S$1,019 and S$1,669 respectively.
