impact.com launches new customer referral solution

impact.com launches impact.com/advocate, a new platform that enables brands to engage customers and build scalable, authentic partnerships through customised referral programs.

impact.com, a leading partnership management platform, unveiled impact.com/advocate, a new customer referral marketing solution. This innovative platform allows brands to effectively engage their customers by turning loyal customers into active advocates. The solution provides brands the tools to create customised, engaging referral programs tailored to their unique business needs.

Transforming customer engagement with referrals

In an era when consumer trust in traditional advertising is at an all-time low, impact.com/advocate offers a timely solution. The platform simplifies the management of referral marketing programs, which are known for boosting customer advocacy, building community, and attracting new customers during the discovery phase of their purchasing journey.

Antoine Gross, General Manager for Southeast Asia and India at impact.com, emphasised the changing consumer landscape, stating, “Today’s modern buyer no longer trusts conventional advertising techniques; they’re seeking out reviews and recommendations from people they can trust and searching social media where they can see the product being used.”

Insights into consumer behaviour and the power of referrals

impact.com’s recent research into referral marketing in Singapore reveals significant reliance on peer recommendations for purchase decisions. According to their findings, 83% of consumers say that a recommendation or referral from someone they know is important, with nearly half (49%) of young adults aged 18-35 finding it very influential. Interestingly, despite the high value placed on recommendations, 18% of shoppers feel uncomfortable recommending products solely for a reward, highlighting the preference for genuine endorsements. Notably, 68% of referrers favour a system that rewards both the referrer and the recipient.

Strategic growth through customised referral programs

The introduction of impact.com/advocate builds on the capabilities of SaaSquatch, a top provider of customer referral software, which was acquired by impact.com in 2023. This integration allows brands to use impact.com’s existing tools to create referral programs that not only support their strategic objectives but also cater to their customers’ needs and desires.

Brands can now establish programs that align with their unique strategies and business goals using impact.com’s flexible and configurable program builder. These programs can offer appealing rewards and include gamification elements like leaderboards to encourage participation. Additionally, brands can craft on-brand, user-friendly referral experiences and place them at critical conversion points throughout the customer journey. The platform also provides robust tracking and analytics to review and optimise the performance of these programs.

Giacomo Bertollo, head of product marketing at Hack the Box, shared his positive experience with the platform: “Leveraging impact.com’s customer referral solution to enhance our monthly user acquisition has helped our business achieve a significant boost in revenue and ARR.”

impact.com/advocate represents a significant advancement in how brands engage with their customers and manage their partnerships. It offers a comprehensive, integrated solution for building authentic, profitable, and scalable partnerships.
