MOZA Racing joins Gran Turismo World Series as official partner

MOZA Racing has entered an official partnership with the Gran Turismo World Series, with the collaboration taking effect from Round 2 of the 2026 championship premiere on 15 August. Viewers will see MOZA branding featured throughout the official competition broadcast.

Alongside this broadcast presence, the agreement positions MOZA to collaborate with the Gran Turismo franchise while developing its first range of officially licensed PlayStation 5 racing gear.

Partnership begins with Round 2

As the official global championship for the Gran Turismo franchise, the Gran Turismo World Series gathers top virtual racing players from around the world.

Beyond this esports involvement, MOZA produces a broad range of simulation gear including direct-drive wheel bases, steering wheels, pedals, dashboards, shifters, handbrakes, motion systems, and dedicated software. The company applies engineering expertise gained from active suspension and automotive systems, using precise motor control and torque sensing to recreate realistic steering and braking behaviour. Their direct-drive wheel bases feature high-density flat-wire motors and force-feedback software, while active pedals dynamically adjust resistance to mirror realistic vehicle feedback.

Gran Turismo producer points to future hardware

The connection between the two brands stems partly from an unexpected overlap in technology. Kazunori Yamauchi, producer of Gran Turismo, originally learned about MOZA through its camera stabilisation gimbals. He observed that both gimbals and steering controllers demand highly precise management of electric motors, an operational overlap that prompted him to follow MOZA’s technological advancements over time.

“My first experience with MOZA was actually through their camera stabilisation gimbals. Gimbals and steering controllers both use the same type of technology in that they exercise very precise control over electric motors, so I had my eyes on MOZA’s developmental ability, technology, and reliability for a while now. The evolution of consumer-level force feedback steering that started from Gran Turismo 3 A-Spec is still ongoing, but with MOZA now joining us as a partner I’m excited to see the expanded possibilities to develop a steering wheel that is optimal in the eyes of ‘Gran Turismo’. Please look forward to the new products that will be released through MOZA,” said Kazunori Yamauchi, Producer of Gran Turismo.

These remarks link the partnership directly to prospective hardware creation, including a dedicated steering wheel crafted around the Gran Turismo experience. However, neither party has yet disclosed a specific product name, technical details, or a release date.

Licensed PlayStation products remain in development

Work is currently underway on MOZA’s licensed PlayStation gear through Sony Interactive Entertainment’s formal licensing programme. At present, the manufacturer has not revealed the total number of items planned for this product range, nor has it confirmed whether any devices will feature official Gran Turismo branding.
