Solera is set to present a range of technology and sustainability initiatives at Insurtech Insights Asia, taking place at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The company aims to demonstrate how its advanced platforms, environmental programmes and leadership development efforts are shaping the future of insurance across the region.
Senior executives will represent the company at the two-day event. Jing Liao, Chairwoman of The Solera Foundation and Chief Administrative Officer, will deliver a keynote address. Arnaud Agostini, International Managing Director, will speak on a panel examining how regulators and the industry can balance privacy, compliance and innovation. Chris Lacovou, Managing Director for APAC, will moderate a discussion on how first notice of loss processes can be transformed to improve service and customer experience.
The company plans to underline its integrated strategy for advancing innovation, strengthening sustainability practices and promoting inclusion in the insurance sector. Agostini said the event offers a strong opportunity to demonstrate the company’s role in bringing change to multiple parts of the insurance landscape. “Insurtech Insights Asia provides the perfect platform to demonstrate how Solera is leading change across multiple dimensions. We’re not just deploying advanced technology, we’re building a more sustainable and inclusive future for the entire insurance ecosystem,” he said.
Solera will showcase its Qapter platform, which uses AI-based visual intelligence to support insurers and collision repair partners in markets across APAC. The platform processes more than 1 million transactions every day in over 100 countries. It draws on a large automotive intelligence database and combines visual intelligence, VIN-based accuracy and touchless automation to support claims assessments. The system has an error rate of fewer than 150 per million claims and covers more than 99.5 per cent of passenger cars globally.
Launch of the Global Circularity Consortium
The event will also mark the launch of the Global Circularity Consortium, a new collaborative ecosystem designed to align stakeholders around measurable sustainability outcomes. The consortium links manufacturers, insurers, repair and recycling networks, regulators, researchers and consumers to help accelerate the adoption of circular practices. It operates through a four-tiered structure supported by five cross-cutting networks and gives members access to verified sustainability data and shared platforms for collaboration.
Solera positions the initiative as part of its broader push to support sustainable mobility and reduce emissions. The company is the first in automotive claims to achieve ISO 14064 certification. Through its Sustainable Estimatics platform, insurers can track and lower CO₂ emissions generated during repair processes. Each processed claim cuts around 45 kg of CO₂ and can save up to US$180 per case.
Liao said the consortium marks a major step forward in strengthening environmentally responsible practices. “The Global Circularity Consortium represents a defining moment for sustainable mobility, shifting the industry from competition to collaboration. By connecting data with trust and trust with capital, we’re establishing the foundation for a measurable and scalable circular economy,” she said.
Supporting women in insurance and insurtech
Alongside its technology and sustainability updates, Solera will mark the first anniversary of the Women in Insurance and Insurtech Network across APAC. The initiative began as an internal programme and has since grown into what the company describes as the first global network dedicated to supporting women in the insurance sector. Its Leadership Academy has engaged 820 participants worldwide.
To commemorate the milestone, Liao will host a networking luncheon on 3 December for female leaders from insurance and insurtech firms across the region. She said the initiative was built to strengthen leadership and give women a platform to share experiences and build meaningful connections. “It was created by women, for women, with the goal of strengthening female leadership, exchanging experiences and building powerful connections in one of the most dynamic and fast-growing markets in the world,” she said.
