The two devices centre on simplified operation and wireless audio support, while maintaining core analogue playback features.

Both models are designed to reduce setup complexity, with one-button full auto playback and Bluetooth connectivity built in. Support for aptX, aptX Adaptive, and Hi-Res Wireless Audio allows users to stream vinyl playback wirelessly to compatible audio devices, while traditional wired connections remain available.
Shared features focus on ease of use and flexible playback
The PS-LX3BT and PS-LX5BT share a common platform built around convenience and stable playback. Each unit supports 33⅓ and 45 RPM records, covering both 7-inch and 12-inch formats, and includes a high-quality cartridge paired with an aluminium platter to maintain consistent rotation.
A USB output with three-level gain control allows users to digitise vinyl records directly, positioning both models as entry points not only for playback but also for basic archiving. A transparent dust cover and recycled packaging complete the shared design approach, combining practical protection with a sustainability element.
PS-LX3BT targets everyday listening setups
The PS-LX3BT is positioned as the more accessible model, aimed at users entering vinyl for the first time or those seeking a straightforward setup. It includes a built-in phono equaliser and an attached audio cable, allowing immediate use without additional components.
Sony describes the sound profile as warm and analogue-focused, with smooth tracking suited for casual, day-to-day listening. The design is intended to blend into general living spaces, prioritising simplicity over customisation or tuning.
PS-LX5BT adds structural refinements for higher fidelity
The PS-LX5BT introduces a more rigid construction and upgraded components aimed at improving playback precision. A one-piece body, aluminium tone arm, and refined internal circuit design are intended to reduce vibration and maintain signal integrity.
The model also features a high-grade cartridge and a gold-plated audio jack, supporting a more stable wired connection. Sony positions this model for users seeking a wider soundstage and more detailed reproduction, particularly in focused listening environments.

Both models are available in Singapore from 30 March 2026. The PS-LX3BT is priced at S$389, while the PS-LX5BT is priced at S$539.
