Table Of Content
The X300 Ultra will be available in Singapore from 9 May, with pre-orders running from 30 April to 8 May. The 16GB+1TB model starts from S$2,499, while the vivo X300 Ultra with Photographer Kit starts from S$3,299.
A camera system built around three focal lengths
The X300 Ultra uses three ZEISS prime focal lengths, covering 85 mm, 35 mm, and 14 mm. vivo is positioning the setup around creator use cases rather than general smartphone photography, with each camera paired with an ultra-sensing sensor.
The 85 mm ZEISS Gimbal-Grade APO Telephoto Camera uses a 200 MP sensor and supports 60 fps AF Tracking in Snapshot mode. It also includes 3° gimbal-level OIS, ZEISS T coating, and Super Blue Glass to reduce flare and ghosting in difficult lighting.
The 35 mm ZEISS Documentary Camera uses the Sony LYTIA 901 sensor with a 1/1.12-inch sensor size and supports 200 MP direct output. It is aimed at mid-range shooting where the subject and surroundings need to sit naturally in the same frame.
The 14 mm ZEISS Ultra Wide-Angle Camera is designed as a main-camera-grade ultra wide-angle lens, pairing an ultra-sensing sensor with a large aperture. vivo is using this focal length for landscape photography and wider narrative framing.
The phone also supports optional telephoto extenders. The 400 mm Equivalent vivo ZEISS Telephoto Extender Gen 2 Ultra makes its global debut with the X300 Ultra and supports 200 MP optical output when paired with the phone. A 200 mm Equivalent vivo ZEISS Telephoto Extender Gen 2 is also available, with a reduced weight of 153g compared with 210g on the previous generation.
Video and colour tools move closer to creator workflows
The X300 Ultra supports Multi-Focal 4K 120 fps 10-bit Log Video and Multi-Focal 4K 120 fps Dolby Vision Video across all rear cameras. For creators who need more control over footage, the All-New Pro Video Mode adds a control interface and parameter adjustments closer to professional cinema cameras.
The device also supports custom 3D LUT previewing while recording in Log, and vivo Log is compatible with the ACES workflow. This allows Log footage from the phone to be colour-graded alongside cinema camera assets within a standardised colour space.
vivo has also added the all-new vivo Color Science system, supported by a vivo Color-Sensing Camera with 5MP Multispectral Sensors, 12 colour channels, and an upgraded flicker sensor. The vivo Color Palette allows deeper adjustments for photography and video, while the 2K ZEISS Master Color Display and Ultra XDR pipeline support a 10-bit HDR workflow from capture to display.
Performance, design, and local availability
The X300 Ultra runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, supported by the Pro Imaging Chip VS1+ and Liquid Cooling Vapor Chamber. The phone also includes a 6600 mAh BlueVolt Battery, 100W FlashCharge, 40W Wireless FlashCharge, and bypass charging with smart temperature control.
Other hardware features include a 2K ZEISS Master Color Display with 4500-nits local peak brightness, IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance, 3D Ultrasonic Fingerprint Scanning 2.0, and OriginOS 6. vivo is also offering a 5-year OS upgrade and 7-year security maintenance commitment.
The device uses a classic camera-inspired design with a Metal Biscuit-Style Camera Module, Classic Knurled Texture, engraved lettering on the camera bump, and a 6.82-inch 2.5D flat screen. The Volcano Black edition uses a Unibody 3D Glass Fiber Design and weighs 232g, while the Steppe Green edition has a split design and an 8.49 mm profile.
