Xiaomi opens its first directly managed store in Singapore at Funan

Xiaomi opens its first directly managed store in Singapore at Funan, offering a premium shopping experience and exclusive launch promotions.

Xiaomi officially opened its first directly managed store in Singapore at Funan on 21 December 2024. Unlike previous stores operated through distributor partnerships, this new store is fully managed by Xiaomi Singapore, marking a significant milestone for the company in the region.

The store aims to provide customers with a seamless and premium shopping experience, offering the latest range of innovative and lifestyle products. Visitors can expect dedicated customer support and product experts on-site, ensuring personalised assistance and detailed product knowledge.

This move follows the launch of Xiaomi’s Official Online Shopping Portal, mi.com, in October 2024. It reflects the company’s strategic focus on building stronger direct engagement with customers in Southeast Asia. Xiaomi also revealed plans to open two more stores in Singapore by the end of 2025, further solidifying its regional presence.

Commitment to Southeast Asian markets

The opening ceremony was attended by Alex Tang, General Manager of Xiaomi Southeast Asia, who expressed Xiaomi’s dedication to the market.

He stated: “Xiaomi is committed to the Southeast Asian market and avail our amazing products to as many as possible. Our ecosystem of innovative products, from premium smartphones, smart home devices, wearables and AIoT products have seen popularity with our consumers. With more direct presence and better customer support, we hope to enhance the shopping experience, provide customers with the latest and best products, and make technology accessible to everyone.”

The Funan store is part of Xiaomi’s broader regional strategy to enhance brand visibility and improve the customer experience through direct interaction.
