Borderlands 4 launches in Singapore with exclusive pop-up event

Borderlands 4 launches worldwide with a Singapore pop-up event, featuring local artist collaborations and NVIDIA promotions.

2K and Gearbox Software have released Borderlands 4 worldwide, marking the latest instalment in the long-running looter-shooter franchise. The game is now available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. A version for Nintendo Switch 2 will follow on 3 October.

The launch continues the series’ legacy of fast-paced action, humour, and co-operative gameplay. To coincide with its release, Singapore hosted a special event on 12 September at WE ART @ Orchard, giving fans the chance to experience the game ahead of its public availability.

Experiential pop-up in Singapore

Singapore was chosen as one of only two Southeast Asian cities, alongside Bangkok, to feature in the game’s promotional tour. The one-day-only pop-up offered players early access to Borderlands 4 through PC and PlayStation 5 gaming stations, including the opportunity to test the new splitscreen couch co-op mode.

The event also featured exclusive merchandise and collectibles for attendees, from T-shirts and pelican cases to limited-edition metal trading cards. The Singapore showcase ran in parallel with a larger month-long campaign in Taipei, which is set to conclude on 9 October.

Collaboration with local artists

A highlight of the event was the unveiling of a collaboration between Borderlands 4 and Singapore-based creative studio Tell Your Children. The studio designed a series of character cards that reimagined fan favourites Claptrap and Psycho Bandit, as well as the game’s new playable Vault Hunters: Vex the Siren, Rafa the Exo-Soldier, Amon the Forgeknight, and Harlowe the Gravitar.

The cards combined Borderlands’ distinctive style with youth and street culture elements, reflecting the studio’s signature approach. The partnership was part of a broader regional initiative to work with local artists, including Taiwan’s poyunwang and Indonesia’s Eastwood Gun. Replica rubber band guns created by Eastwood Gun were also showcased at the event.

Technology and promotions

Attendees had the chance to experience Borderlands 4 with enhanced visuals powered by NVIDIA’s DLSS 4 technology. DLSS 4, available with the GeForce RTX 50 Series, uses AI-powered features such as Multi Frame Generation and Super Resolution to deliver higher image quality and smoother gameplay.

To mark the launch, NVIDIA announced a promotion in Singapore. From 15 September, buyers of select GeForce RTX 50 Series desktops, laptops, and graphics cards will receive a complimentary copy of Borderlands 4. Eligible products include the RTX 5090, 5080, 5070 Ti, and 5070, available through participating retailers.

Borderlands 4’s global debut, combined with its artistic collaborations and fan-focused experiences, signals an ambitious new chapter for the franchise as it builds on its established reputation while reaching new audiences across Asia.
