Commvault expands cyber recovery services through CrowdStrike partnership

Commvault and CrowdStrike expand partnership to offer integrated cyber recovery and incident response services for stronger cyber resilience.

Commvault has announced an expanded partnership with CrowdStrike to offer organisations a combined solution that strengthens their cyber recovery and incident response capabilities. The collaboration aims to equip enterprises with faster, more effective recovery from cyberattacks while improving overall preparedness.

The partnership brings together Commvault’s expertise in data protection and recovery with CrowdStrike’s incident response services, creating a coordinated approach to managing cybersecurity threats. This joint solution is designed to help businesses detect, respond, and recover from incidents more efficiently, at a time when ransomware attacks are occurring with increasing frequency and recovery times remain lengthy.

Addressing growing cyber threats with unified solutions

With ransomware attacks estimated to happen every 14 seconds and average recovery timelines stretching to 24 days, the demand for collaborative cyber resilience solutions continues to rise. Organisations are increasingly turning to trusted partners that can provide both preventative and recovery capabilities.

Alan Atkinson, Chief Partner Officer at Commvault, said, “Today’s threat landscape demands more than just security – it requires resilience. Our expanded partnership with CrowdStrike brings together exceptional incident response capabilities from CrowdStrike and leading data recovery and resilience solutions from Commvault to help joint customers identify and quickly address cyber incidents and recover swiftly and effectively.”

Daniel Bernard, Chief Business Officer at CrowdStrike, added, “Cyber resilience isn’t just about recovery, it’s about being ready at every stage of an attack. Our expanded partnership with Commvault brings together industry-leading threat intelligence, incident response expertise, and robust recovery capabilities to help organisations identify risks faster, recover smarter, and strengthen their overall security posture. In an AI-accelerated world of relentless and sophisticated threats, security and IT teams need to operate as one, and this collaboration helps make that possible.”

Proactive support for faster recovery

The joint offering includes a suite of services that combines CrowdStrike’s real-time threat detection and incident response capabilities with Commvault’s Guardian services. These services are delivered through a retainer-based model and include readiness assessments, continuous recovery testing, and Cleanroom Recovery validation.

Customers will benefit from faster incident response and restoration times, as Commvault’s recovery tools work in tandem with CrowdStrike’s threat visibility to quickly identify and contain breaches. This integration also helps reduce operational disruption during crises by aligning both companies’ workflows for smoother coordination.

The partnership also offers enhanced risk mitigation strategies. These include joint cyber resilience maturity assessments and tailored scenario-based exercises designed to test and improve organisational defences. Furthermore, Commvault’s scalable support options allow clients to align services with their specific recovery requirements.

Combining expertise to support cyber resilience

In addition to technology integration, the expanded partnership gives customers access to combined expertise from both firms. This includes hands-on support and strategic advice from cybersecurity and data recovery specialists, ensuring that organisations receive end-to-end assistance throughout the lifecycle of an attack.

The latest announcement builds on previous integrations between Commvault Cloud and the CrowdStrike Falcon platform, which leverages AI-powered tools to enhance threat detection and response.

By expanding their collaboration, Commvault and CrowdStrike aim to provide businesses with a reliable, unified solution that enhances resilience against increasingly complex cyber threats.
