Cozy Grove: Camp Spirit arrives on consoles and PC this July
Cozy Grove: Camp Spirit launches on consoles and PC on 15 July, expanding beyond its original mobile release.
Fans of the cosy life simulation game Cozy Grove: Camp Spirit will soon be able to enjoy the title on larger screens, with developer Spry Fox confirming its release across consoles and PC on 15 July. The game launched on iOS and Android in June 2024 and has since attracted a dedicated audience seeking a wider platform release.
Table Of Content
The upcoming launch will bring the sequel to Steam, the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. The announcement marks a significant expansion for the title, making it available to players across nearly all major gaming platforms.
A relaxing adventure returns to a larger audience
Cozy Grove: Camp Spirit continues the gentle gameplay style that helped establish the original Cozy Grove as a popular life simulation experience. Players take on the role of a scout who becomes stranded on an island inhabited by friendly ghost bears following a bus accident.
Throughout the game, players help the island’s spirit residents recover memories from their past lives and find peace. As they assist the bears, they gradually repair their damaged vehicle while working towards a reunion with their missing scout troop. The story unfolds through exploration, conversations and a variety of daily activities designed to create a calm and welcoming atmosphere.
The sequel expands on the original formula by introducing several new features. Players can customise both their appearance and surroundings while completing tasks and discovering new areas of the island. The game also introduces additional companions and seasonal events that provide fresh content over time.
Another notable addition is an asynchronous gift-giving system that allows players to interact with friends. Through this feature, users can exchange gifts and maintain a sense of connection without requiring simultaneous online play. The sequel also introduces a new power-washing activity, giving players another way to spend time while exploring the island’s peaceful environment.
Spry Fox begins a new chapter after Netflix ownership
The console and PC versions of Cozy Grove: Camp Spirit are being published directly by Spry Fox, marking a new stage for the independent studio. The developer had previously been part of Netflix Games, which the streaming company acquired in 2022.
The original Cozy Grove launched in 2021 and built a loyal following thanks to its relaxed gameplay and distinctive hand-drawn art style. Following the acquisition, Netflix published Cozy Grove: Camp Spirit as a mobile-exclusive title in 2024 through its gaming service.
However, the relationship between the two companies changed in late 2025. As part of a broader restructuring of Netflix’s gaming division, the company sold Spry Fox back to its founders, David Edery and Daniel Cook, in December 2025.
The move allowed the studio to regain its independence while continuing work on existing projects. Publishing Camp Spirit on consoles and PC represents one of the first major releases from Spry Fox since returning to founder ownership.
Plans extend beyond Cozy Grove
While under Netflix’s ownership, Spry Fox also began development of another life simulation project, Spirit Crossing, unlike the single-player focus of Cozy Grove, the new title is designed as a multiplayer cooperative experience that encourages players to build and explore together.
Netflix remains involved with Spirit Crossing and is continuing to publish the game for iOS and Android devices. The partnership demonstrates that the two companies continue to collaborate on selected projects despite Spry Fox no longer being part of Netflix’s gaming division.
Looking ahead, Spry Fox plans to follow a similar strategy to the one being used for Cozy Grove: Camp Spirit. While mobile versions may launch through Netflix, the studio intends to bring Spirit Crossing to additional platforms independently, allowing a broader audience to access its games.
The upcoming release of Cozy Grove: Camp Spirit on consoles and PC reflects growing demand for the series beyond mobile devices. With expanded platform support, new gameplay features and a renewed focus on independent publishing, Spry Fox is positioning the title to reach both returning fans and newcomers when it launches on 15 July.
