Tata Communications, Footballerista, and Real Madrid launch Madridista Premium in India

Tata Communications, Footballerista, and Real Madrid team up to launch Madridista Premium, connecting over 22 million fans in India.

Tata Communications has partnered with Real Madrid CF and Footballerista Mobile (Suisse) AG to introduce the Madridista Premium loyalty programme in India. The initiative seeks to bring the Spanish football club closer to its fans in the country, connecting more than 22 million supporters and 11 official fan clubs through exclusive digital experiences and engagement opportunities.

Strengthening Real Madrid’s connection with Indian fans

The collaboration will allow Indian fans to enjoy an enhanced experience within the Real Madrid digital ecosystem. Through Madridista Premium, fans will have access to exclusive content, curated merchandise, and local community activities designed to make them feel part of the wider Madridista movement. The initiative reinforces Real Madrid’s commitment to nurturing football culture in India, one of the fastest-growing football markets in the world.

Emilio Butrageño, Institutional Relations Director of Real Madrid CF, said: “With Tata Communications, we’re proud to bring the spirit of the Bernabeu to India. This partnership isn’t just about digital innovation — it’s connecting Real Madrid to its Indian fanbase that goes beyond traditional fandom.”

A technology-powered fan experience

Tata Communications will play a key role in delivering the Madridista Premium experience through its advanced digital infrastructure and Tata Communications MOVE, a platform designed to enable seamless global connectivity. The company’s technology will ensure that fans across India remain constantly connected to the club’s latest updates, events, and experiences.

Footballerista, the customer-facing provider of Tata Communications MOVE, will further drive engagement through curated campaigns and onboarding experiences for subscribers. Its focus will be on creating meaningful interactions and bringing fans closer to their favourite football legends.

Marco Bijvelds, Vice President and Global Head of Tata Communications MOVE, said: “Our technology is designed to break down barriers and create connections. With Footballerista and Real Madrid, we’re changing the game from just providing a service; our digital fabric of solutions is building a stage for Real Madrid’s fan experience in India. This is about making fans feel even more connected to their beloved team, supporting them from afar.”

Building a stronger football community in India

The Madridista Premium programme represents more than a membership—it is a platform to celebrate loyalty, passion, and community. By combining Real Madrid’s global prestige with Tata Communications’ digital expertise and Footballerista’s engagement model, the initiative sets out to create a personalised experience for every Indian fan.

Through this partnership, Real Madrid aims to expand its reach in Asia while inspiring deeper fan involvement through emotional storytelling, digital innovation, and community-driven engagement. For Indian supporters, the Madridista Premium programme offers a direct link to the heart of the club, allowing them to experience the excitement of being part of one of the world’s most celebrated football teams.
