Epson has announced the launch of its latest range of portable lifestyle projectors in Southeast Asia, introducing the new Lifestudio series aimed at consumers balancing home, work and on-the-move lifestyles. The lineup includes two product families, Lifestudio Pop and Lifestudio Flex, covering four models in total: EF-61G, EF-62N, EF-71 and EF-72. The new range is positioned around flexibility, compact design and cinematic performance, reflecting shifting habits among hybrid professionals and digital nomads across the region.

The company said the Lifestudio series is designed to deliver large-screen entertainment in a compact form factor, allowing users to move easily between different environments. Whether used at home, in temporary workspaces or during social gatherings, the projectors aim to combine visual performance with portability. Epson also highlighted the design focus of the range, noting that the Lifestudio Pop models received the 2025 Good Design Award and were recognised among the top 100 products for their minimalist and refined aesthetic.
This launch comes as demand grows for portable and connected technology that can adapt to changing routines. Epson positioned the Lifestudio range as a response to this shift, offering a blend of projection, sound and smart features without requiring a fixed installation or permanent setup.
Portable design built around flexibility and ease of use
Portability is a core focus of the Lifestudio Pop and Flex projectors, with all models weighing under 4kg. The Lifestudio Pop models, EF-61G and EF-62N, are particularly lightweight at 1.6kg, making them easy to carry between locations. Epson said this design approach supports users who regularly move between spaces and want a consistent viewing experience without relying on traditional televisions or fixed projectors.
The Lifestudio Flex series, which includes the EF-71 and EF-72 models, adds a greater emphasis on adaptability. These projectors feature flexible rotation that allows projection onto walls, ceilings or other surfaces without rearranging furniture. This removes the need for improvised stands or complex mounting solutions, enabling quicker setup in different environments.
Among the Flex models, the EF-72 stands out with a lamp-inspired design that combines projection, ambient lighting and audio into a single device. Epson described the EF-72 as an all-in-one solution that functions as a projector, soft table lamp and wireless speaker. This design allows users to switch between watching content, creating ambient lighting or listening to music without changing devices. The EF-72 can also be powered by a USB Type-C mobile battery, enabling use in locations without fixed power sources.
Both Flex models are compatible with the optional ELPFS01 floor stand, which offers adjustable heights from 60cm to 80cm. This provides additional placement flexibility without requiring tables or permanent fixtures, supporting use in a wider range of room layouts.
Visual performance, sound and smart features
Epson has equipped the Lifestudio range with its Triple Core Engine, combining 3LCD technology with a triple colour light source. This setup is designed to deliver vivid, lifelike images while avoiding the rainbow effect commonly associated with single-chip projectors. With up to 1,000 lumens of both colour and white brightness, the projectors are positioned to perform well even in mixed-light conditions, rather than requiring a fully darkened room.
Audio is another area of focus, with all Lifestudio models featuring Sound by Bose technology in their built-in stereo speakers. Epson said this integration is intended to provide room-filling sound that complements the visual experience, reducing the need for external speakers in casual viewing or social settings.
Smart functionality is delivered through built-in Google TV, giving users direct access to streaming apps, content libraries and personalised recommendations. This allows the projectors to operate as standalone entertainment devices without requiring additional streaming hardware.
To simplify setup, all Lifestudio Pop and Flex models include automated features such as auto screen adjustment, keystone correction, wall colour adjustment and auto obstacle avoidance. These tools automatically resize and adjust the projected image to account for wall colour, angles and objects such as fixtures, helping users achieve a usable image quickly without manual calibration.
Social features, pricing and availability
Beyond individual viewing, Epson is positioning the Lifestudio projectors as tools for shared experiences. The new Epson Projection Studio app, available on iOS and Android, turns the projectors into interactive entertainment hubs. The app allows friends and guests to add photos, comments and emojis in real time, transforming parties, gatherings and casual events into shared big-screen experiences.
Commenting on the launch, Derek Tan, Head of Sales and Marketing at Epson Singapore, said the new range was designed to integrate into modern lifestyles. He said the projectors combine compact design with performance and adaptability, enabling users to create cinematic moments wherever they are.
The Epson Lifestudio Pop and Flex projectors are available at promotional prices ranging from S$826 to S$1,482, with additional promotions valued at up to S$300. They can be purchased through authorised dealers, including official online stores on Shopee and Lazada.
