Kahoot! has officially opened its regional hub in Singapore to strengthen its presence across the Asia Pacific, supporting growing demand for digital learning in schools, workplaces, and communities. The announcement was made on 1 July during a media event in Singapore, where the company also shared its strategic roadmap for the region and showcased real-world demos of its platform in action.
Singapore as a strategic base for growth
The new Singapore office will serve as Kahoot!’s central hub for APAC operations. According to Ahteram Uddin, Vice President Commercial, APAC at Kahoot!, this marks a significant step in expanding the platform’s reach across the region.
“We’re excited to establish our APAC hub in Singapore—an ideal gateway for our regional growth,” said Uddin. “This marks a key step in expanding the reach of our solutions to more educators, students, and professionals across APAC. We’re focused on helping organisations transform onboarding, upskilling, and internal communication into engaging, impactful experiences. At the same time, we’re scaling our support for schools and universities through interactive tools, premium content from global partners, and a growing suite of AI-powered features designed to make learning even more impact for all.”
The company has seen over 250 million non-unique participants in the APAC region in the past year alone, with strong adoption in both education and enterprise settings. In Southeast Asia and Japan, more than 750,000 teachers use Kahoot! to boost classroom engagement and learning outcomes.
Expanding AI features and localised content

To support its growing user base, Kahoot! has introduced new AI-powered features such as an AI question generator and smart note scanning to help students study more effectively. The platform also offers a wide range of content partnerships with global brands including Disney, Hello Kitty, Sanrio, TED, Peanuts, Nickelodeon, and Microsoft.
Kahoot!’s appeal in the region is further strengthened by localised support for languages such as Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Vietnamese, Bahasa Indonesian, and Thai. These efforts aim to make the platform more accessible and relevant to diverse user groups across the region.
Uddin added that Singapore was chosen for its leadership in digital transformation and commitment to lifelong learning. “Singapore is one of the most forward-looking markets in the world when it comes to lifelong learning and digital transformation. With strong national investment in upskilling and a rapidly growing demand for flexible, measurable learning solutions, it’s a natural fit for Kahoot!.”
Real-world impact in classrooms and workplaces
During the media event, Kahoot! hosted a live panel discussion featuring teacher and corporate users who shared how the platform has transformed their learning and engagement experiences.
Sabina Mammadova, a science teacher at One World International School, said: “Since we have integrated Kahoot! to our classrooms, the engagement it produced has improved our students’ learning. Among the features I use most often are the AI generator, which helps me quickly create engaging content, and Kahootopia—a great feature to foster collaborative learning and celebrate collective achievements. My students really enjoy learning alongside their classmates, and it has now become a powerful tool for positive reinforcement, rewarding them for good behaviour. Additionally, one often-overlooked benefit I truly appreciate as a teacher is the amount of time saved in preparing these interactive lessons. Kahoot! has made it possible for me to deliver engaging sessions without compromising on preparation time.”
Billy Yip, a Singapore-based HR professional, also shared his perspective: “As a HR professional, I am often in charge of hosting large internal meetings and facilitating interactions where driving engagement among my colleagues could be challenging. With Kahoot!, it is a simple yet powerful tool that helps me run effective meetings that foster interaction, and maintain focus. Despite time constraints, I am able to generate an interactive presentation instantly.”
Kahoot! was founded in 2013 and has since hosted over 12 billion non-unique participants globally. The platform currently supports more than 25 million active users and is used in over 200 countries and regions. The Kahoot! Group includes Clever and several learning apps such as DragonBox, Poio, Drops, Actimo, Motimate, and Whiteboard.fi.
