LG enhances the WebOS gaming experience with the new Gaming Portal

LG introduces Gaming Portal for WebOS, offering a central hub for cloud gaming on smart TVs and monitors in 19 markets worldwide.

Do you want all your streamed games in one place on your LG smart TV, monitor, or lifestyle screen? LG has made that possible with its latest update to WebOS (versions 23 and later). The tech giant has introduced Gaming Portal, a new hub that brings all gaming content together for easier access.

With Gaming Portal, LG WebOS users can conveniently browse and launch games from partnered cloud gaming providers. LG already offers access to major services like NVIDIA GeForce Now in 4K, Amazon Luna, Boosteroid, Blacknut, and Xbox Cloud Gaming, which will arrive later this year. These platforms allow you to stream games without needing a console—just an internet connection, a subscription, an LG WebOS-supported display, and a compatible controller.

What to expect from Gaming Portal

The Gaming Portal is more than just a launchpad for cloud gaming services. It also features native WebOS game apps, most casual games that work with your TV’s remote control.

LG has designed the interface to be user-friendly. It displays recently played titles, the top 10 trending games, and editor’s picks. You can easily choose between “play with remote control” or “play with Game Pad” from the side menu, saving you time scrolling through individual games.

Additionally, the Gaming Portal keeps track of your gaming achievements. You can view progress, points, levels, and rankings in one place. The “My Games” section on My Page lets you personalise your gaming experience, helping you organise your favourite games and stay updated on upcoming releases.

Where is the Gaming Portal available?

LG’s Gaming Portal is rolling out in 19 markets, including Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Ireland, Mexico, Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkiye, the UK, and the USA. However, despite LG TVs having access to cloud gaming services, it is not currently available in Singapore. There’s no word yet on when it will expand to more regions, but LG may announce further updates.

If you own an LG smart TV, monitor, or StandbyMe panel in one of the supported markets, the new Gaming Portal can help you enjoy a smoother, more organised gaming experience.
