Nintendo announces a second US store in San Francisco

Nintendo expands its US presence with a new store in San Francisco, offering fans an immersive experience in the world of Nintendo.

Nintendo, the beloved video game company, is expanding its retail presence in the United States with the opening of a new store in San Francisco’s Union Square. This marks Nintendo’s second standalone store in the US, nearly 20 years after the opening of its first store in New York City in 2005. The new store is set to open its doors to fans in 2025.

A New Hub for Nintendo Fans

The San Francisco store will offer a wide range of Nintendo games, merchandise, hardware, and accessories, providing fans with a unique shopping experience. Similar to its flagship store in New York City, the San Francisco location is expected to feature two stories, with the first floor dedicated to retail offerings and the second floor showcasing display cases highlighting Nintendo’s iconic consoles.

Nintendo has been expanding its presence beyond video games, with ventures into theme parks and movies. The company already has stores at its theme parks, including Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Hollywood in California. Additionally, Nintendo is set to open Super Nintendo World at Universal Orlando next year, featuring the first Donkey Kong Country section in the US.

Bringing Nintendo Magic to San Francisco

While Nintendo has not revealed specific details about the San Francisco store, it promises to provide visitors with an immersive experience into the world of Nintendo, its products, and characters. The new store is expected to cater to fans from near and far, offering a unique opportunity to engage with Nintendo’s offerings.

Apart from the US stores, Nintendo also operates three stores in Japan, located in Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto. The San Francisco store, named Nintendo San Francisco, joins the lineup of iconic Nintendo locations around the world.

Nintendo’s expansion into San Francisco is sure to excite fans, and while it may not be called Nintendo Toad Harbour as some might have hoped, it promises to be a must-visit destination for Nintendo enthusiasts.
