ASUS introduces the first smart band with fingertip blood pressure and ECG tracking

ASUS launches VivoWatch 6 Aero, the first smart band with fingertip blood pressure and ECG tracking, powered by advanced health AI.

You might not think of ASUS regarding health-focused wearables, but the Taiwanese tech company has just made headlines with a smart band that could change how you track your health. ASUS unveiled the VivoWatch 6 Aero, a small yet powerful device that offers fingertip measurements for blood pressure and ECG, a first in the world of smart bands.

With its latest release, ASUS is stepping beyond its well-known laptops and gaming gear, offering an outstanding health tracker.

A new way to track your health

The VivoWatch 6 Aero uses an advanced process called sputter deposition to fit PPG (photoplethysmography) and ECG (electrocardiogram) sensors into the band’s compact frame. This lets you check vital health stats simply by placing your finger on the front sensor.

Using just your fingertip, you can take a reading for your blood pressure, SpO2 (blood oxygen levels), or ECG. When you wear the band normally, the back sensor works in the background, continuously measuring Pulse Transit Time (PTT Index), SpO2, and heart rate throughout the day.

What makes this band different is how it delivers that data to you. It runs on ASUS Health AI 5.0, a powerful system designed by medical algorithms and biosensing experts. This AI collects real-time information and presents it in simple, clear graphs and charts in the ASUS HealthConnect app.

This approach means you’re not just getting raw numbers—you’re getting useful health insights, making it easier to understand your body’s condition.

Features packed into a small frame

Despite its small size, the VivoWatch 6 Aero includes many features you’d expect from a modern fitness band. Its 1.1-inch AMOLED display offers bright, clear visuals. It also has GPS, Bluetooth 5.0, and 5 ATM water resistance, making it a good fit whether you’re out for a jog or caught in the rain.

Weighing just 28 grams, it’s light enough to wear all day and night without discomfort. The battery is also built to last, with the 135mAh cell offering up to 5 days of use on a single charge, depending on how heavily you use the sensors.

The device is also built for wide compatibility. It can be paired with smartphones running Android 8.0 and above or iPhones with iOS 13 or later, making it a flexible choice no matter what phone you use.

Availability and pricing

ASUS has not announced the official price or launch date for the VivoWatch 6 Aero. However, the company has confirmed it will share more information soon, and interested users are encouraged to check for updates.

If you’ve been looking for a smart band that does more than count your steps or monitor your sleep, the ASUS VivoWatch 6 Aero might be worth waiting for. With its medical-grade readings and user-friendly design, it could become a strong option in a growing market of health-first wearables.
