BenQ introduces GV50 smart laser projector for cosy home viewing

BenQ launches GV50 smart laser projector with flexible projection angles and built-in streaming, offering a cosy cinema experience in any home setting.

BenQ has launched its latest GV50 smart laser projector, designed to bring a cinema-like experience to any room. With flexible projection angles and a finely tuned audiovisual setup, the GV50 allows viewers to enjoy films, series, and games from the comfort of their bedrooms, living rooms, or any space they choose. This new addition aims to cater to those looking for a high-quality yet versatile option for relaxed, at-home viewing.

The GV50 is particularly suited to the busy Singaporean lifestyle, where moments of relaxation are invaluable. With built-in Google TV and Netflix, viewers can easily access a wide variety of entertainment, transforming any room into a personal cinema. The projector’s features allow for multiple viewing angles and are optimised for bedside projection, making it perfect for movie nights with family or solo streaming sessions.

“For today’s digital entertainment enthusiasts, the GV50 offers superior flexibility, allowing users to stream high-quality content in their own cosy, personalised spaces for the perfect relaxation experience. Even those new to projectors will find it easy to replace their TVs and indulge in a laid-back video streaming experience right from the comfort of their bed,” said Jeffrey Liang, President of BenQ Asia Pacific Corporation.

Flexible design for optimal projection and sound

The GV50 features a unique base design that adapts easily to any viewing angle, making it ideal for smaller rooms without taking up much space. It offers 135° vertical projection angle, digital zoom, two-stage tilt for ceiling projection, 360-degree image rotation, and horizontal/vertical lens shift. These options provide a hassle-free, cinema-like experience, whether you’re reclining, seated, or lounging on the bed.

The projector also prioritises audiovisual quality. With BenQ’s CinematicColor and CinematicSound technology, the GV50 displays sharp visuals in Full HD 1080p resolution, and its 2.1-channel 18-watt speakers deliver deep, immersive sound that aligns with bed height for bedside viewing. The Ceiling Cinema Sound Mode enhances the experience by directing sound downward, adding a layer of depth to any film or show. Additionally, the Night Shift Mode and sleep timer minimise eye strain, adding comfort to long viewing sessions.

The GV50’s 500 ANSI lumens laser light source and Rec. 709 colour accuracy ensure bright, vivid visuals, while HDR/HLG support brings added depth to colours and contrast. BenQ’s reputation for high-quality projectors is evident, as the GV50 delivers an elevated, immersive home viewing experience that meets the high standards BenQ users expect.

Built-in entertainment and gaming options

With Google TV and Netflix, the GV50 is set up for easy access to popular streaming platforms, eliminating the need for additional devices. It also supports USB-C data transfer, DisplayPort output, and power delivery for mobile devices, including Nintendo Switch. The projector’s low 22.4ms input lag makes it a good option for casual gaming, providing smooth gameplay and an immersive feel. Its integrated battery provides up to 150 minutes of video playback or 280 minutes of music streaming over Bluetooth, offering flexibility in different settings.

For added convenience, BenQ is running a promotion from 11 to 20 November. During this period, the GV50 will be available at a discounted price of S$899 (down from the original S$1,099). Purchases during the promotion will include a free BenQ Portable Projector Carry Bag, a practical accessory for those looking to take their projector on the go.

With the GV50, BenQ aims to redefine home entertainment by delivering a flexible, portable, and high-quality viewing option that fits into busy modern lifestyles.
