Disney Plus to release original Fortnite x The Simpsons animated shorts

Disney Plus releases four new Fortnite x The Simpsons shorts in November, also viewable within the game itself.

Disney Plus is expanding its library of animated content with four new The Simpsons shorts, created in collaboration with Fortnite. The crossover marks a major partnership between Epic Games and the long-running animated series, bringing the familiar yellow family into the Fortnite universe — and beyond.

A month of weekly animated releases

According to Epic Games, a new short film will premiere each week on Disney Plus and within the Fortnite game itself. The first instalment, titled Apocalypse D’Oh, debuts on 1 November, officially launching the crossover event. Three additional shorts will follow throughout the month, each available on Mondays.

The full release schedule is as follows:

Apocalypse D’Oh on 1 November, Sugar High on 10 November, Multiplidiocy on 17 November, and The Incredible Bulk on 24 November.

The collaboration also extends to Rocket League, which will receive themed in-game items inspired by The Simpsons and Fortnite.

A new twist on animated storytelling

While specific plot details remain under wraps, Epic Games revealed that the shorts will “highlight new gameplay.” This suggests that each episode will introduce or showcase new in-game elements, potentially featuring iconic Simpsons humour blended with Fortnite’s fast-paced, creative world.

The collaboration follows a trend of The Simpsons teaming up with major entertainment franchises. In recent years, the show has released several short films on Disney Plus to coincide with special occasions, including Star Wars Day, Halloween, and the streaming platform’s anniversary.

The new partnership demonstrates how Fortnite continues to expand its cultural footprint beyond gaming, blending pop culture, animation, and interactive storytelling to create a unique experience.

Where and how to watch the new shorts

Viewers can watch the Fortnite x The Simpsons animated shorts either on Disney Plus or directly within Fortnite. Disney Plus subscribers can find the episodes by searching for The Simpsons or visiting the Simpsons Collection section on the platform.

Within Fortnite, players can access the shorts through the Quests screen, where an “Animated Shorts” option will appear during the season.

The themed Fortnite mini-season featuring The Simpsons will continue until the end of November, giving fans time to explore new content, earn rewards, and experience the crossover from both viewing and gaming perspectives.

For more information on the collaboration, fans can check Epic Games’ official updates for details about the new Battle Pass, available skins, and in-game features that accompany this limited-time event.
