Doctor Anywhere and Lumens Group expand home-based healthcare access in Singapore
Doctor Anywhere and Lumens Group partner to strengthen reliable home-based healthcare delivery and support community care in Singapore.
Doctor Anywhere and Lumens Group have formalised the next phase of their partnership with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding, aimed at strengthening reliable home-based healthcare delivery across Singapore. The collaboration brings together Doctor Anywhere’s Doctor House Call services and Lumens Group’s managed mobility capabilities, delivered through its mobility service ecosystem provider, Lylo. At its core, the partnership addresses a practical but critical requirement in home-based care, enabling medical professionals to reach patients safely, reliably, and with minimal disruption.
Singapore’s healthcare system is undergoing a gradual shift as national initiatives such as Age Well SG encourage ageing-in-place and greater reliance on community-based care. As more patients receive treatment outside traditional clinical settings, the ability to deliver consistent care at home has become increasingly important. For seniors, families with young children, and patients recovering from medical procedures, travelling to clinics or hospitals can be difficult and stressful. Reliable home-based care depends not only on medical expertise, but also on the infrastructure that supports it.
The partnership reflects a shared recognition that healthcare access begins long before a doctor arrives at a patient’s doorstep. By improving the operational coordination behind Doctor Anywhere’s home visit services, the collaboration aims to support continuity of care in a way that fits into the realities of daily life for patients and caregivers.
Strengthening the operational backbone of home-based care
Lumens Group manages one of the largest vehicle fleets in Singapore and will provide professionally managed mobility services for Doctor Anywhere’s medical teams. This approach allows medical professionals to focus more fully on delivering care, while reducing the logistical burden associated with scheduling, travel, and coordination across the island.
As demand for home-based care continues to grow, efficiency and reliability become essential. The use of managed mobility services is intended to improve scheduling efficiency, allowing Doctor Anywhere to serve more patients without compromising care quality. This operational support is positioned as a key enabler in scaling home-based healthcare in a sustainable manner.
Doctor Anywhere has indicated that it will continue investing in its medical team and service capacity for home-based care. The goal is to ensure that care remains personal, consistent, and centred on patient needs, even as the volume of home visits increases. The partnership with Lumens Group supports this objective by providing a stable foundation that can adapt as service demand evolves.
Home-based healthcare in Singapore increasingly relies on coordination between multiple service providers. By integrating mobility support into the care delivery process, the partnership demonstrates how non-medical services can play a meaningful role in improving healthcare outcomes. The collaboration also reflects a broader trend towards viewing healthcare as an ecosystem, rather than a series of isolated touchpoints.
Supporting community care and ageing-in-place
Doctor Anywhere’s home-based services span a wide range of needs, including medical consultations, infant and childhood vaccinations, preventive care, and post-treatment follow-ups. These services are designed to integrate with clinic-based and specialist care, forming part of a connected continuum that supports patients across different stages of life.
Ms Ivin Yew, Chief Executive Officer, General Health Services at Doctor Anywhere, said accessibility is the foundation of effective healthcare. “For healthcare to work, it must first be accessible. It doesn’t happen only when a doctor arrives; it begins the moment someone decides, ‘I need care’. Preventive care and continuity of care within communities are essential to keeping society healthy,” she said. She added that families with newborns, parents managing infant vaccinations, seniors ageing at home, and patients recovering after treatment all depend on reliable and coordinated care delivered where they live.
From Lumens Group’s perspective, mobility plays a crucial but often unseen role in enabling essential services. Mr Marcus Low, Group Head of Business Development at Lumens Group, said mobility creates access rather than simply facilitating movement. “This partnership reflects Lumens Group’s commitment to building resilient systems that improve lives and strengthen communities,” he said. By supporting healthcare professionals as they deliver care in the community, the group aims to help bring medical support closer to families and individuals in their everyday environments.
The partnership aligns with Singapore’s broader emphasis on preventive care, community-based healthcare, and ageing-in-place. It also highlights how local enterprises can collaborate in practical ways to address evolving healthcare needs. As the population ages and expectations around convenience and accessibility rise, such collaborations are likely to play an increasingly important role in shaping the future of healthcare delivery in Singapore.
