Fulbright University Vietnam enhances student services with AI integration

Fulbright University Vietnam deploys Salesforce Agentforce and Data Cloud in just three weeks to enhance student services and engagement.

Fulbright University Vietnam has partnered with Salesforce to deploy Agentforce and Data Cloud, transforming the way students interact with the institution. The project was completed in just three weeks and has become a central part of the university’s One Stop student services portal. The AI assistant now provides students with personalised, conversational support, streamlining services and improving the overall student experience.

Improving student engagement

The adoption of Agentforce reflects Fulbright’s efforts to scale operations as its student population grows. As Vietnam’s first independent, nonprofit liberal arts university, Fulbright’s mission is to prepare future leaders with the skills to address global challenges while building a diverse and inclusive academic environment. With rising demand on student services, the university required a secure and scalable solution to deliver more efficient, tailored support.

By embedding Agentforce into its portal, students now receive real-time answers to queries in natural language, reducing the need to navigate complex menus or search systems. They can access policy documents, receive updates, and log service requests with ease. The system also delivers responses customised to individual contexts such as year of study or course, which reduces frustration and enables service staff to concentrate on more complex requests.

A unified approach to data

The implementation is supported by Salesforce’s Data Cloud, which consolidates structured and unstructured student data into a centralised system. This unified approach allows Agentforce to provide accurate, context-rich responses based on reliable information. Clean data integration has also created a foundation for new AI and automation applications in the future, including automated enrolment processes and proactive advisor support.

“Agentforce unlocks a whole new way of interacting with our information. With a Customer 360 view, every student touchpoint is recorded in one place enabling Agentforce to provide highly personalised, contextual answers. This also opens up tremendous potential for future AI and automation use cases, from automating enrolment to providing proactive advisor support,” said Quang Ha Nguyen, Director of Information Technology, Fulbright University. “For us, it’s not just about saving time—it’s about transforming the way students interact with the university. We’re giving them immediate, relevant answers that reduce friction and improve their confidence in managing their own academic journey.”

Building an intelligent campus

The university has been steadily advancing its digital transformation strategy, using Salesforce tools such as Sales Cloud to manage the student lifecycle and Experience Cloud to power its service portal. Agentforce marks the next step in this journey, turning the portal into an integrated platform that connects students with the resources and support they need.

Salesforce described the rapid rollout as an example of Fulbright’s forward-looking approach to technology in education. “Fulbright continues to lead the way in digital transformation in the education industry and we are delighted to expand our collaboration with the university. The rapid deployment of Agentforce in just three weeks is a testament to Fulbright’s innovative vision and commitment to student success. By leveraging Agentforce alongside Sales Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Data Cloud, Fulbright is not just optimising processes; they are building a truly intelligent campus,” said Vernon Cheo, Head of Emerging Small Medium Business, Salesforce ASEAN.

With AI integrated into its student portal and backed by a unified data strategy, Fulbright is laying the groundwork for more advanced services and a more connected academic community.
