Pure Storage recognised as leader in Gartner Magic Quadrant for enterprise storage platforms

Pure Storage has been recognised as a Leader in the 2025 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Storage Platforms, its twelfth year in a row.

Pure Storage has been named a Leader in the 2025 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Storage Platforms, marking the twelfth consecutive year the company has earned a leadership position. The report placed Pure Storage highest for execution and furthest for vision, underlining its ability to deliver consistent performance while driving innovation in the sector.

Gartner defines enterprise storage platforms as solutions designed to support diverse workloads, including block, file and object storage, across a variety of use cases. Pure Storage believes the creation of this new Enterprise Storage Platforms category validates the value of its approach, which centres on offering organisations a unified storage platform with an as-a-service model that can be deployed across on-premises, cloud and hybrid environments. For the past five years, Pure Storage held the top position in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Primary Storage Platforms.

Addressing data growth with innovation

With the rapid growth of data volumes driven by artificial intelligence and other digital trends, traditional storage models are struggling to keep pace. Pure Storage has responded with its Enterprise Data Cloud, delivered through the Pure Storage Platform, which enables customers to unify data across their entire estate. Managed by an intelligent control plane and delivered as a service, the platform is powered by Pure Fusion, allowing organisations to manage global data with greater control, automation and visibility.

“Pure Storage delivers data storage and management at scale—automating and simplifying customers’ global data storage environment,” said Charles Giancarlo, Chief Executive Officer of Pure Storage. “Only Pure Storage has innovated an architectural approach that allows customers to better manage their global data, not just their storage.”

Expanding capabilities in 2025

In 2025, Pure Storage introduced several enhancements to its platform. Pure Fusion now supports workload automation with presets and remote provisioning, extending automation across fleetwide file, block and object storage. The company also expanded its FlashArray and FlashBlade offerings to support demanding workloads and unstructured data, while adding object support to FlashArray to create a single architecture that integrates block, file and object storage.

Security and compliance have also been strengthened. Built-in policies and third-party integrations enhance cyber resilience, reducing the risk of human error. Rubrik has become the first partner to integrate with Pure Storage’s new workflow orchestration for improved threat detection, while a collaboration with CrowdStrike is delivering the first validated, on-premises secure storage for CrowdStrike LogScale.

Customer validation

Customer feedback has further reinforced Pure Storage’s position. As of 21 August 2025, the company held an Overall Rating of 4.9 out of 5 on Gartner Peer Insights for Enterprise Storage Platforms, based on 689 reviews. Of those surveyed, 98% said they would recommend Pure Storage to others.

Pure Storage views this recognition as confirmation of its continued leadership and commitment to helping businesses manage and secure data at scale, meeting both current and future challenges.
