GameSir has rolled out a major update to its GameHub app, bringing full support for Steam games to Android devices. The upgrade allows users to access popular PC titles, including the upcoming Hollow Knight: Silksong, directly on their phones or tablets. With this move, GameSir aims to deliver a PC-quality experience without the need for extra hardware or complicated setup.
Steam integration comes to mobile
GameHub is a free platform designed to make high-quality gaming more accessible on mobile. It supports PC emulators, cloud gaming, and game streaming, enabling Windows titles to run on Android with strong compatibility. Players can use either controllers or touch controls, offering flexibility for different play styles.
With the latest update, Android users can log in to their Steam accounts, download compatible titles, and play them on the go. The platform supports thousands of games, from indie hits to major releases such as Elden Ring, Cyberpunk 2077, Hades, Persona, Forza, Borderlands, Baldur’s Gate, Overcooked!, Destiny, and Grand Theft Auto V. GameSir says the system is designed to deliver smooth, high-performance play even for graphically intensive titles.
Designed for smooth and responsive play
GameHub introduces several features to optimise performance and user experience. Its direct rendering technology reduces processing delays, resulting in faster response times and lower latency. Players can also sync game progress using Steam Cloud Saves, ensuring a seamless transition between devices. Controller support has been improved with adaptive triggers, realistic vibration, and automatic switching to virtual buttons when no controller is connected.
Performance remains a key focus. GameSir reports that demanding AAA games such as Resident Evil 2 Remake, Mortal Kombat 11, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, Batman Arkham Knight, and Assassin’s Creed Rogue can run at 60 frames per second (fps) with optimised settings. Performance-focused titles such as Metro: Last Light, Hades, Ori and the Blind Forest, Hollow Knight, and DOOM (2016) can reach up to 90–120fps. Even modern blockbusters such as Final Fantasy VII Remake, Monster Hunter: World, and Devil May Cry 5 can deliver 50–60fps gameplay on capable Android hardware.
Ongoing updates and new features
The latest GameHub versions bring further refinements. Version 5.1.0, released on 15 September, improves emulator compatibility, adds extended DX11 support for older ARM devices, and enhances Steam stability. Version 5.0.5, rolled out on 13 September, introduced full Steam Cloud Save and online multiplayer support, improved controller feedback, and added a new rendering mode for lower latency and smoother visuals.
In addition to performance gains, players can capture gameplay highlights instantly and enjoy cross-platform progression. The app supports streaming next-generation console exclusives from the cloud and accessing Steam’s vast catalogue, making it a comprehensive tool for mobile gamers seeking more than traditional app store titles.
GameSir says its mission is to break gaming barriers and enable play anywhere, regardless of platform. By integrating Steam with mobile devices and offering console-quality performance, GameHub sets a new standard for Android gaming.
