GovWare 2025 to spotlight the future of cybersecurity and digital trust

GovWare 2025 will gather over 13,000 cybersecurity leaders in Singapore from 21 to 23 October to shape the future of digital trust.

The GovWare Conference and Exhibition 2025 will return from 21 to 23 October at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre in Singapore, bringing together more than 13,000 cybersecurity leaders, policymakers, industry experts and academics from over 90 countries and regions.

As the anchor trade event of the Singapore International Cyber Week (SICW), GovWare has long been a key platform for advancing cybersecurity collaboration, intelligence-sharing and public-private partnerships across Asia and beyond. Supported by the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA), this year’s edition arrives at a crucial time as rapid technological innovation and rising cyber risks reshape the global security landscape.

“GovWare 2025 represents more than a convening. It is a strategic platform to address the shifting realities of cyberspace,” said Ian Monteiro, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Image Engine, organiser of GovWare. “As threats become more systemic and technologies more complex, we are sharpening our focus on foresight, trust-building and accountability. GovWare continues to be where critical conversations take shape and where real-world solutions are advanced.”

Exploring cybersecurity’s evolving frontiers

The theme for GovWare 2025, “Cyberspace: Of Starbursts, Black Holes, and Last Frontiers,” draws parallels between the vastness of deep space and the growing complexity of cybersecurity. It calls for reflection on three interconnected areas: the evolution of cybersecurity, its interaction with emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and quantum computing, and the broader social and geopolitical contexts they influence. Together, these dimensions challenge stakeholders to rethink conventional approaches, address new vulnerabilities and lead with foresight in a fast-changing environment.

Across the three-day event, more than 170 speakers will explore a wide range of topics, including AI and digital trust, incident response, cloud security, supply chain resilience, and building sustainable cybersecurity ecosystems. Confirmed speakers include Royal Hansen, Vice President of Engineering at Google; Ir. Dr. Megat Zuhairy bin Megat Tajuddin, Chief Executive of Malaysia’s National Cyber Security Agency (NACSA); Eng Choon Goh, President of Cyber at ST Engineering; H.E. Marta Pelechová, Special Envoy for Cyberspace at the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Col Clarence Cai, Defence Cyber Chief of the Singapore Armed Forces; Alex Stamos, Advisor to the CEO and former CISO of SentinelOne; Esa Joffel, Cybersecurity Inspector at Finland’s Radiation and Nuclear Safety Authority; and Dr Alejandro R.-P. Montblanch, Quantum Defence Lead at HSBC.

Deepening collaboration between government and industry

A key highlight of GovWare 2025 will be strengthened government and institutional participation. This includes the Government Closed-Door Session (GCDS) and GCDS – Threat Intel briefing, where agencies such as the CSA, Centre for Strategic Infocomm Technologies (CSIT), Digital and Intelligence Service (DIS), Government Technology Agency (GovTech) and Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) will share operationally relevant insights on emerging threats and strategies.

Innovation will also be a central focus, with startups from IMDA’s Accreditation@SGD and Spark programmes, as well as companies supported by the CyberSG TIG Collaboration Centre and CyberSG R&D Programme Office, showcasing enterprise-grade solutions. Country pavilions from the Czech Republic, France and Finland will present their latest technologies and cybersecurity capabilities.

On the exhibition floor, over 300 exhibitors will demonstrate solutions from global leaders, regional innovators and research institutions. Highlights include a live Security Operations Centre (SOC) by Cisco, offering an inside look at real-time threat detection and response. Other participants such as Check Point, Ensign InfoSecurity, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Security and Huawei will showcase developments in infrastructure security, AI-driven threat detection and quantum-resilient cybersecurity.

Critical Information Infrastructure (CII) will receive focused attention through invite-only forums for the financial services and healthcare sectors. These sessions will bring together policymakers, cybersecurity leaders and businesses to share practical insights, address sector-specific challenges and assess the evolving impact of policy.

Spotlight on AI security and trusted innovation

As part of its commitment to strengthening collaboration, GovWare has partnered with Trend Micro to present the inaugural AISec event. This new initiative will unite public and private sector stakeholders to explore best practices for protecting AI models and infrastructures, as well as innovative uses of AI to counter emerging adversarial threats.

Through these sessions, showcases and partnerships, GovWare 2025 aims to reinforce Singapore’s position as a leading cybersecurity hub in the region. The event will continue to drive cooperation, strengthen public-private engagement, and support the development of a trusted and resilient digital future.
