Infor launches industry-focused AI agents to transform enterprise operations

Infor launches industry-specific AI agents, new cloud migration tools, and enhanced process mining to transform enterprise workflows and accelerate automation.

Infor has unveiled a new suite of artificial intelligence solutions designed to transform how businesses in manufacturing, distribution, and services operate. The launch includes industry-specific AI agents, enhanced process mining capabilities, and a streamlined cloud migration programme, all aimed at helping organisations accelerate automation and realise the full value of their technology investments.

Built on Amazon Web Services (AWS) and leveraging Amazon Bedrock for access to advanced large language models (LLMs), Infor’s latest solutions are tailored to the needs of individual industries, from dairy producers and electric vehicle manufacturers to textile fabricators. The company says the new offerings are designed to address sector-specific challenges with greater precision, speed, and return on investment (ROI).

Industry-tailored AI agents for operational efficiency

At the heart of the announcement is Infor Industry AI Agents, a first-of-its-kind suite of role-based AI tools built specifically for key industries. Unlike generic AI assistants, these agents combine decades of Infor’s sector expertise with integrated data orchestration to automate and optimise critical workflows across projects, products, supply chains, and workforce operations.

A defining feature of the new agents is their deep contextual understanding of industry processes and requirements. Drawing on Infor’s Industry Process Catalogues and Value Maps, the agents come pre-loaded with knowledge of sector-specific terminology, compliance considerations, and performance benchmarks. This allows them to deliver immediate impact from day one.

For example, purchasing roles may exist across hospitals, distributors, and manufacturers, but the processes behind those roles differ significantly. Infor’s agents are built to recognise these nuances and adapt workflows accordingly. By using real-time enterprise data from both Infor and external sources, they also provide tailored recommendations to users based on their roles and responsibilities — whether analysing supplier quotes, tracking delayed activities, or reviewing financial receivables.

The AI agents are powered by the Infor Agentic Orchestrator, a new orchestration layer built on the Infor Industry Cloud Platform. This system coordinates how agents interact with enterprise systems, data, and models while embedding governance features for transparency and security. With support for multi-step orchestration through LangChain and model flexibility via Amazon Bedrock, it enables companies to scale from simple task automation to managing complex, multi-stage workflows — all while keeping human oversight central to the process.

Accelerating cloud migration with Infor Leap

Recognising that many organisations still rely on on-premise systems that limit the potential of AI, Infor has also launched Infor Leap, a new migration offer designed to reduce the cost and complexity of moving to the cloud. The programme targets common barriers such as implementation delays and budget overruns, which have historically slowed modernisation efforts.

A recent Forrester study found that 74% of high-performance IT leaders view ERP modernisation as essential for improving agility, innovation, and resilience. Infor Leap addresses this by offering a fixed-fee pricing model to prevent scope creep, guaranteed delivery within a set timeline, and a custom implementation strategy tailored to each organisation’s needs. A “love it or leave it” opt-out clause is also included to give customers additional confidence during their transition.

Enhanced process mining for deeper insights

Infor is further strengthening its process mining tools with AI-powered features that deliver faster insights and more precise decision-making. New generative AI capabilities can automatically produce contextual process summaries, eliminating the need for manual interpretation. Enhanced dashboard customisation and improved filtering tools also allow organisations to analyse performance data more deeply and accurately. These updates integrate with Infor Industry CloudSuites to support continuous business process improvement across the enterprise.

AI with purpose and precision

Kevin Samuelson, CEO of Infor, said the new solutions are designed to help organisations adopt AI in a more strategic and meaningful way. “Our new suite of solutions allows customers to harness the power of AI with purpose and precision,” he said. “When deployed strategically, AI can help organisations thrive and prosper amid the growing number of challenges across industries. But it’s crucial to do it right: companies that implement generic AI tools without industry-specific context will lose valuable time and money they often can’t afford.”

Industry analysts say Infor’s approach reflects a broader shift in enterprise software towards more intelligent and autonomous systems. “The AI age is ushering in new ERP products that leverage AI technology to enhance and augment functionality,” said Mickey North Rizza, Group Vice President of Enterprise Software at IDC. “With capabilities that bring more data into decision-making and make systems more autonomous, AI is turning ERP platforms into better-optimised technology resources for organisations.”

By embedding deep industry knowledge into its AI agents, simplifying cloud adoption, and expanding the capabilities of its process mining tools, Infor is positioning itself at the forefront of enterprise AI. The company believes these innovations will help businesses across sectors move beyond basic automation to achieve more strategic, data-driven decision-making — and ultimately, unlock new levels of efficiency and value.
