Power meets portability: ROG reveals new details on the 2025 Flow Z13

ROG confirms that the 2025 Flow Z13 gaming tablet will launch on February 28. It will feature AMD’s Ryzen AI Max+ 395 and improved cooling.

ROG has officially confirmed that the highly anticipated 2025 edition of the Flow Z13 gaming tablet will be available from February 28. Originally introduced at CES 2025 as part of the company’s latest gaming hardware refresh, this new model brings several key upgrades to deliver high performance in a compact design.

A powerful gaming tablet in a small package

If you’re unfamiliar with ROG’s Flow Z13, it’s a hybrid device that blends a gaming laptop’s functionality with a tablet’s portability. For 2025, ASUS has refined its design to pack even more power into its slim 13-inch chassis. One of the most significant changes is a unified quad-channel memory system, allowing up to 128GB of onboard memory, ensuring smooth multitasking and improved performance.

Cooling is another area that has seen a major upgrade. The new vapour chamber cooling system now features a mix of stainless steel and copper, which ASUS claims increases coverage by 54% compared to previous models. This should help keep temperatures under control even during demanding gaming sessions. The Flow Z13 is also equipped with 2nd Gen Arc Flow Fans, the same high-performance cooling solution used in the Zephyrus lineup.

A shift in GPU design

One of the biggest surprises with the new Flow Z13 is its shift away from NVIDIA’s RTX 50 Series Laptop GPUs. Instead, ASUS has opted for an integrated GPU built into the AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor. Based on AMD’s RDNA 3.5 architecture, this GPU is expected to provide performance similar to that of an AMD Radeon 8060S. While some gamers may miss the option for a discrete NVIDIA graphics card, ASUS seems confident that the latest AMD processor will still deliver a solid gaming experience.

Premium performance comes at a price

Packing so much power into a 13-inch form factor doesn’t come cheap. The 2025 ROG Flow Z13 has a starting price of S$4,399 and will be available at the ROG Store, ASUS Online Store, and all authorised retailers. With its compact yet powerful design, the Flow Z13 is set to appeal to gamers looking for high performance in a portable package.
