Tammy Nam takes the helm as CEO of AI-driven ad startup Creatopy

Tammy Nam joins AI-powered ad startup Creatopy as CEO, bringing experience from PicsArt and Viki. The company reports a 400% revenue growth.

Creatopy, an AI-powered startup that automates digital ad creation, has appointed Tammy Nam as its new Chief Executive Officer.

Nam brings a wealth of experience, having previously served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Marketing Officer at photo-editing platform PicsArt. Before that, she was the CEO of video streaming service Viki. In an email to TechCrunch, she explained that Creatopy was looking for a US-based leader with experience scaling startups, working with European founders (the company was originally developed in Romania), and expertise in marketing technology.

“Fortunately, I fit that bill,” she said.

Nam is also joining the company’s board as part of her new role. Meanwhile, former CEO Dan Oros has stepped into an advisory position, continuing to support Creatopy’s growth.

Strong backing and rapid growth

Last year, the startup secured a US$10 million Series A funding round led by European venture capital firms 3VC and Point Nine. Eva Arh, a partner at 3VC, praised Nam’s leadership, calling her “one of the best operators I know.”

Creatopy has seen impressive growth in the past year. Between February 2024 and February 2025, the company claims its mid-market and enterprise revenue increased by 400%, with most of that growth occurring in the last six months. Among its high-profile clients are AstraZeneca, NASCAR, and The Economist.

“What’s remarkable about Creatopy—especially for a relatively unknown company—is our ability to land major enterprise customers in demanding industries like pharma and banking,” Nam said.

She credited the company’s success to its “intuitive interface, unique product capabilities, and excellent customer service.” Nam also pointed out that while artificial intelligence is becoming increasingly common, Creatopy stands out by deeply understanding customer needs and delivering a high-touch experience alongside AI-driven automation.

AI-powered efficiency with brand safety in focus

Nam says brand safety is a top priority for Creatopy. She explains that marketing managers can upload brand kits when setting up their accounts, ensuring that every AI-generated ad stays within their brand’s guidelines.

“Our AI doesn’t replace strategic thinking; it amplifies it,” she said. “Some of our customers have reported a 10x or more increase in productivity because we eliminate the tedious, manual work of generating hundreds of ad variations across sizes, formats, languages, and more.”

With Nam at the helm, Creatopy is set to expand its reach further, helping businesses create high-quality digital ads with greater efficiency and precision.
