Crunchyroll will bring several headline attractions to AFA Singapore 2025, offering fans exclusive access to world-first anime premieres, special guest sessions and one of the largest booths at the convention. The event will run from 28 to 30 November, with Crunchyroll presenting a mix of screenings, creator discussions and interactive experiences.
The company will host global and regional premieres on 28 November, giving attendees the first look at new episodes from some of its most anticipated titles. Visitors will be able to watch the world’s first screenings of Release That Witch and An Adventurer’s Daily Grind at Age 29. The session will also feature APAC’s first screening of Fire Force Season 3 Cour 2 Episode 1 and Episode 2. Additional special screenings of My Awkward Senpai and Lord of Mysteries will round out the programme. The event will take place from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM in Room 331 and will be open to all AFA ticket holders on a first-come, first-served basis.
The programme reflects Crunchyroll’s focus on showcasing a broad mix of Japanese and Chinese titles. The platform continues to expand its slate of shōnen productions and manhua adaptations, making AFA Singapore a key moment for fans to preview upcoming releases before they arrive on the service.
Guest appearances and creator sessions
AFA attendees will also have the opportunity to meet notable anime talent throughout the weekend. On 30 November, Yusuke Kobayashi, the Japanese voice actor behind Arthur Boyle in Fire Force, will appear on the AFA Day Stage at 3 PM. He will host a meet and greet and share behind-the-scenes insights from the production of the popular shōnen series.
Fans of Lord of Mysteries can look forward to a dedicated creator panel on 28 November at 2 PM, also on the AFA Day Stage. Director and producer Ke Xiong, together with chief screenwriter Liu Xing, will discuss the creative direction of the series and the wider rise of Chinese animation. Their session is expected to draw strong interest as the series continues to gain international attention.
These appearances highlight Crunchyroll’s strategy of pairing exclusive content releases with direct fan engagement, giving audiences a closer understanding of the creative work behind some of the industry’s most popular titles.
Expanded booth and interactive experiences
Crunchyroll will host a 105-square-metre booth at the venue, one of the largest exhibits at AFA Singapore this year. The space will feature themed zones inspired by Fire Force, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba and Lord of Mysteries. Fans can take part in a Fire Force booth challenge, explore interactive installations and use the dedicated photo spots placed around the area.
A key highlight includes a “Praise the Fool” throne inspired by Lord of Mysteries, alongside life-size inflatables of Tanjiro and Shinobu from Demon Slayer. Visitors can also walk through Crunchyroll’s signature anime tunnel, which connects the different themed areas within the booth. Exclusive giveaways and photo opportunities will be available throughout the weekend.
The scale and variety of the booth experience underscore Crunchyroll’s continued investment in regional fan events, as it aims to broaden anime’s influence and engage audiences across multiple touchpoints.
