Evento Seguro simplifies insurance access for event organisers in Brazil

Evento Seguro by Chubb makes event insurance easier for Brazilian organisers through a digital platform by Sympla and discovermarket.

Event organisers in Brazil now have easier access to Public Liability Insurance, thanks to a new collaboration between event platform Sympla, global insurtech company discovermarket, and insurer Chubb. The launch of “Evento Seguro by Chubb” marks a significant step forward in making insurance more user-friendly, transparent, and convenient for organisers across the country.

The solution enables Sympla users to purchase insurance tailored to their event needs through a digital platform developed by discovermarket. This streamlined process is fully online, removing the need for lengthy forms and complex policy comparisons. Instead, organisers simply answer two questions to receive a tailored quote, making insurance faster and easier to secure.

Marco Kamerling, Chief Commercial and Marketing Officer at discovermarket, explained the breakthrough nature of this offering. “In just a few minutes, they gain access to a comprehensive and transparent coverage plan, ensuring peace of mind while they focus on delivering outstanding events,” he said.

Support for safer, stress-free event planning

Evento Seguro provides Public Liability Insurance, which covers potential financial risks linked to incidents during an event. This includes damages or accidents that affect attendees, staff, or property — offering financial protection in situations ranging from venue damage to food-related issues or equipment accidents.

For Sympla, this offering is in line with its mission to remove friction in the event planning process. “We’re proud to be the first platform to announce a solution that revolutionises event insurance procurement,” said Gabriela Mota, Strategy and Business Manager at Sympla. “This initiative aligns with the platform’s mission to simplify the work of event organisers by reducing friction in their journeys.”

The insurance can now be purchased via a dedicated portal created by discovermarket. The platform allows organisers to review their coverage options and receive a quote with just a few clicks. The fully digital experience reflects the partners’ focus on technology-driven convenience and speed.

Educational efforts to boost insurance awareness

To raise awareness and encourage adoption, Sympla and discovermarket will also roll out educational campaigns and promotions. These efforts aim to show event producers the benefits of securing insurance early, ensuring they can plan and execute events with greater confidence.

“This ongoing engagement will allow discovermarket and Sympla to deepen the conversation about financial protection with event organisers, paving the way for expanded insurance offerings in the sector,” Gabriela added. She also noted that the platform plans to develop more tailored products over time, offering organisers even better protection suited to their specific event types.

Chubb, a well-established global insurer, underwrites the policies. Its partnership with discovermarket ensures that the coverage offered is not only robust but also aligned with international standards of service and protection. Discovermarket’s technology further enhances the offering with a modular, API-based platform that supports embedded insurance solutions across industries.

Collaboration reflects broader innovation in insurance

The launch of Evento Seguro is the latest example of how embedded insurance is being used to improve customer experiences and close protection gaps, particularly in sectors like live events that can be unpredictable and financially risky. With discovermarket’s reach extending across Southeast Asia, Europe, and Latin America, the company continues to build on its vision of integrating insurance into everyday digital experiences.

Sympla, Brazil’s largest event platform, has already helped organise over 2.35 million events and serves a network of more than 373,000 producers. With over 242 million tickets issued and a presence in 4,000 cities, the platform is a natural fit for this new insurance solution.
