Google offers free AI Pro plan to students in Singapore

Google is offering students in Singapore a free one-year subscription to its AI Pro plan, featuring Gemini 2.5 Pro and powerful learning tools.

Google is giving students in Singapore free access to its Google AI Pro plan for one year, aiming to boost their learning experience and creativity through advanced artificial intelligence. The announcement comes as a new Deloitte survey found that 86% of students in Singapore are already using generative AI to support their studies.

With the complimentary subscription, eligible students will be able to use Gemini 2.5 Pro, Google’s most capable AI model, to get unlimited homework help, prepare for exams more effectively, and improve their writing. The initiative is designed to help students make better use of AI in their academic work and equip them with the skills needed in a rapidly evolving digital world.

Enhancing research, writing, and creativity

The Google AI Pro plan comes with several upgraded features that aim to transform how students research, learn, and create. Deep Research enables users to explore complex topics more thoroughly by converting materials into podcast-style audio overviews or simplified written reports. NotebookLM, an AI-powered research and writing assistant, now offers five times more access to audio summaries, notebooks, and related resources.

Students will also gain access to creative tools such as Veo 3 in Gemini and Flow, which allow them to generate dynamic videos from text or photos. The increased usage limits will help them explore more ambitious projects and develop storytelling skills through multimedia.

Seamless integration with Google Workspace

The subscription integrates Gemini directly into Google Docs, Slides, and Sheets, turning familiar tools into powerful AI-assisted platforms. In Docs, Gemini acts as a writing partner, helping students refine their work and produce polished submissions. In Sheets, it speeds up data analysis and visualisation, while in Slides, it can instantly generate presentations or create images to enhance projects.

Additionally, subscribers will receive 2 TB of cloud storage across Google Photos, Drive, and Gmail. This added storage space is designed to support the growing volume of academic work, media, and research materials students accumulate, all backed up securely in the cloud.

How to sign up

Students interested in the offer can visit the official sign-up page by 9 December 2025 to check their eligibility and register for the free plan. Google hopes the initiative will encourage students to explore new ways of learning, push creative boundaries, and prepare for future careers in an AI-driven world.
