OPPO renews UEFA partnership for three more seasons

OPPO renews its partnership with UEFA for three more seasons, aiming to enhance the fan experience and support youth football globally.

OPPO has renewed its partnership with the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) for the next three seasons. This collaboration will include several major UEFA competitions, such as the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, UEFA Futsal Champions League finals, and UEFA Youth League finals. Based on the past two seasons’ successful partnership, OPPO will continue utilising its advanced technologies across smartphones, headphones, and smartwatches to enhance the football experience for fans. The goal is to bring supporters closer to the game through OPPO’s innovative devices and AI-powered features.

OPPO and UEFA celebrate partnership renewal

Key figures from OPPO and UEFA attended a dedicated event to announce the renewal. Billy Zhang, President of Overseas Marketing, Sales, and Service at OPPO, and Guy-Laurent Epstein, UEFA’s Marketing Director, attended the event. Football legend Iker Casillas Fernández made a surprise appearance, meeting fans and demonstrating OPPO’s latest products and AI technology.

Billy Zhang expressed his enthusiasm for continuing the collaboration: “Our partnership with UEFA over the past two years has highlighted our shared values in connecting and inspiring fans of all generations. We look forward to continuing to strengthen our partnership over the next three years, connecting fans closer to the match through OPPO’s innovations in imaging and AI technologies, and dedicating more resources to helping young players and the broader global football community experience the magic of football.”

Guy-Laurent Epstein added: “Over the past two seasons, OPPO smartphones and technologies have uplifted the UEFA Champions League experience for fans worldwide with their advanced imaging and AI capabilities. We now look forward to building further on our collaboration to ensure that more people can feel the passion of football and be inspired by the UEFA Champions League.”

Mobile technology enhances the Champions League experience

With over ten years of expertise in mobile imaging technology, OPPO has created the Matchday Phone specifically for football fans. This device offers exceptional telephoto and night photography features, allowing fans to capture high-quality images from the stands. OPPO smartphones deliver clear, detailed shots, even during evening matches, providing vibrant and immersive experiences.

At the partnership renewal event, Iker Casillas demonstrated OPPO’s AI Studio feature, showcasing the brand’s latest advances in AI technology. Over the next three seasons, OPPO plans to further enhance fan interaction by developing AI innovations such as AI Studio and AI Eraser, ensuring fans feel closer to the action on and off the pitch.

Commitment to youth football development

Beyond enhancing the fan experience, OPPO is dedicated to supporting the growth of football worldwide. Over the next few seasons, the company will launch several youth football development programmes in countries like Spain, Mexico, Egypt, and China. These initiatives will provide young footballers and local community clubs with essential resources and support, helping them to pursue their dreams on the pitch.

During the last two years of its partnership with UEFA, OPPO has captured numerous iconic moments from UEFA competitions using its powerful imaging technology. Under the renewed agreement, OPPO will continue working closely with UEFA to ensure that more fans globally can enjoy football matches while experiencing how OPPO’s cutting-edge technology enhances the excitement of UEFA competitions.
